    The Way News Should Be
The Texan news podcast doesn’t exceptional job, providing Texans with the news and updates important to us, but still entertaining and fun. I love what my generation is doing to the mainstream media! Straight and unbiased facts don’t have to be boring!

    Disappointing
After listening to several weeks of shows, I regretfully must excuse myself from listening. The podcasts on the surface appeared informative, but when some of the reporters speak off the cuff they are opining a theory without supplying facts but in a voice of authority. For example in the monthly roundup in speaking about healthcare they opine that our healthcare system is a quality care that provides on demand care albeit with a hefty bill. Emergency Rooms can and do deny care to non insured patients if they are not in crisis. But since the level of crisis is subjective allowing doctors and administrators to say an infection is not a crisis in a noninsured patient’s case. When the same patient goes to another ER and is admitted for emergency care and surgery. I don’t ask for perfection, but I do require a news source to follow the facts. I believe we have enough news sources that give opinions as facts. To stand apart The Texan needs to state facts and accept their personal opinions are not news or really important.

Good but not as balanced as is promised
I have really enjoyed the Texan for their deep dives into complex policy issues. They cover news that is important to me as a Texan and a person who wants to be educated on issues and the Texas Leg. However, the promise is highly balanced coverage of both parties- and I feel that as we get closer to the presidential election, I can now tell exactly where the journalists sit by their commentary. I will continue to listen, but will understand there is a bias in some content.

    Great news coverage for Texas
Very glad to find The Texan. Detailed reporting without hyperbole, finger pointing or partisan antics. Good coverage for Harris County and Houston. Best to follow thetexan.news and subscribe so you can follow stories as they develop. Best value for my subscription dollar for sure. Thank you for your work.

    Carpet baggers ?
Is the Texan podcast hosted by any native Texans? Maybe 1 of 4? I don’t think many of their views are shared by most Texans. But it’s content isn’t too bad. Just need less Yankees.

    No Democrats for Me
I heard the interview with Luke Warford, seems like a reasonable guy. Unfortunately I won’t be voting for ANY Democrats until the border is secured. Thanks for the interview though.

    Excellent source of local content
My go to source of news is the Wall Street Journal. The Texan gives me what the WSJ doesn't: local news.

    Much Needed
This podcast helps this conservative Texan understand Texas politics. Thanks!

    Good, news
Disclaimer, I am conservative. That said, I like that I am getting news, without the hyperbole. I see them trying, and succeeding, to very well to frame issues, and not inject any personal bias. Thank you for that!!

    un biased news (!!)
these young and talented journalists achieve what the main stream news has abandoned - pure, factual reporting. They also have a light hearted sense of humor and I really enjoy their asides. I happily opted to pay for a monthly subscription after listening to one episode of the Weekly Roundup; accurate local Texan news is entirely worth the small fee. Hope to see this small outfit go far! Good luck and great work to the whole team.

Week in Review is a “must listen”
Especially during the Carnival that is the Lege, no better way to get caught up on what’s going on in Texas. Smart, deep, and engaging. Not an easy combo to pull off, but they do it well.

Fantastic podcast in every respect. Plus, shout out to the Big 10 guy sticking to his guns in a Big 12 and SEC world. Mad respect.
