Hey man I know you guys got some negative reviews but keep it up I love your podcast

This episode was a really good review of the specifics of the crash, but having just finished “the ghost of flight 401” by John G Fuller there is so much more about the aftermath and the people who were involved in the sightings, and the families of some of the casualties also having been involved. It’s a great book, especially if you like any kind of disaster genre.

As much as I wanted to like this podcast, listening to Michael and Tess was rough. I couldn’t finish the Tenerife episode. I’m no podcaster but I feel like reading a script verbatim with little inflection isn’t podcasting. The chemistry between the two is zilch. When he asked for her input, it was as if she’d only reacted because she heard her name. I won’t be subscribing.

Michael is thorough but I was surprised he did not mention Jim Swire during the PanAm 103 Lockerbie episode 🛩️

707 not a 747. Minor slip even though the 747 can do one as well, in fact, I bet all airliners must structurally be able to do this, but only done in simulators or wind tunnels- Great podcast Tex Johnson greatest pilot ever!

The 2,000 year backstory was not my cup of tea, but you certainly are thorough

The details are absolutely phenomenal, but Tess is the weakest part of the show, please drink some coffee and speak like you actually care, you sound like a board teenager and I have to fast-forward every time you talk

The podcast is great! Quality content and so informative. I just found it last week and have listened to all of the episodes already. It is insane to think that they’ve gotten the opportunity to interview the people that they have and it’s so insightful as to how every incident made flying safer for everyone today! This podcast used to be decent, even though the delivery is weak and the accents annoying, the material and cases were awesome. But after an hour and a half of listening to Dec 23 episode the flight has not even been touched on--if I wanted to get a history of Eastern Europe lesson I would search that out. Unsubscribe.

This podcast is entertaining and accurate, and I enjoy it. Once or twice the hosts reveal thier political beliefs, which isn’t relevant. Without that and any political content, it is a very good summary of aviation accidents.

I love this podcast so much because I’m an Avgeek! I found this podcast pretty late but I still have a lot of episodes to listen to but, it is a little sad that this amazing podcast was discontinued. Michael Bowers I don’t know if I spelt that right or not but please make more episodes and I’ll spend at least $10 instead of $1 a month like your normal subscription pay.

Michael is very sensitive to people and yet is able to provide technical information. How does he get the most incredible guests? The PSA crash interview was my favorite podcast ever, and I have listened to podcasts for 8 years. Great, honest, real, well researched podcast with unbelievable insights and guests. (Also, I fly a lot for business, so thanks for telling us the good things that come out of each crash.)

Very informative and entertaining pod. Michael and Tess are a great team. Please make some more episodes when you can! I’m a huge mayday air disaster fan as well as listening to this pod while I’m at work and I can’t get enough. Trust me guys, people really appreciate this podcast and the work you both put in does not go unnoticed. If you’re curious about giving this pod a try, don’t hesitate just do it and you won’t be disappointed. Michael and Tess, you are forever in my fave 5 and I will always listen to new episodes immediately as they arrive. P.S. I don’t know how I found this podcast but it was extremely interesting to learn about plane crashes. The hosts do great research and present it in a conversational manner, very much enjoyed it.

Get on hulu and get on air disasters and will help with the podcasts.

I would love to see more episodes come out and hear about the DTW accident if possible

This is a good show, with great case studies picked out and the facts and analysis delivered well. My critique is that it took 11 minutes to actually begin the accident portion of the episode on the DC-8 crash. The discussion prior seemed to be a lot of fluff, which started to lose me as an audience member.

I listen to this usually every night and so far I’ve gotten about 12 episodes through and I will tell you I love it my favorite episode also just make it clear I’m not going in order my favorite episode is episode 31

Michael and Tess are the best hosts out there among the realms of Plane disaster podcasts—Michael is calm, tells the stories with no fluff or giggling. He doesn’t get taken off course with annoying questions and overly technical answers. I only wish he did episodes more frequently.

I really enjoy listening to this podcast. Michael does a great job putting together facts and delivers the info well. I started with the mid-2021 episodes and then went back and binged the full series. Tess joins a few episodes in and she was a great addition (vs. previous co-hosts). Can’t wait for the next episode.

I was in my car listening to the show and just got done the interesting episode on Air New Zealand flight 901. Also the last episode about the plans crash in the Everglades reminded me of the Stone Tape theory. Keep going with this show! I listen to it while I video edit & sleep.

My boyfriend and I love listening to this podcast, especially while taking road trips. He thought I was crazy for putting it on the first time and now he listens to it without me and tells everyone about this amazing podcast as if he found it on his own, but that’s neither here nor there. Your podcast is very informative, extremely respectful, and well researched and organized. As an eye witness to Episode 28, the mid air collision of PSA 182 and a Cessna in San Diego, I find your podcasts very therapeutic. Especially hearing about the positive effects on air travel these tragedies ultimate brought. Thank you and keep them coming!

As an airline pilot, I appreciate how legitimate this podcast is. There is no sensationalizing, dramatizing or blaming in this podcast. What you get are the facts and honest commentary - laid out in an easy to listen to format. Michael and his co-host Tess are thoughtful and ask the questions that anyone who is not a pilot would want to know.

I love learning more about how much goes on behind the scenes when an airplane is in use. How everything is orchestrated to keep us safe , and how we collectively learn from each accident to make travel safer in the future. Thank you for making this podcast to help everyone learn to not be afraid. And Tess is awesome.

These guys are the best (black box down is almost but not quite as good). I just wish they were a little more consistent at putting more material out there!

I regularly listen to several plane accident podcasts and some are more dramatic and passenger focused, some highly technical…I find this one to be right in the middle which I enjoy. Keep up the good work!

Loved this show in the first few episodes. The episodes were well researched and the interviews/guests were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the discussion of CRM and how that often influenced the outcome of the event. However, with the addition of the cohost (at least in the episodes I’ve listened to), much of the banter has become preachy, political and derivative. Even if I agree with most of the issues discussed, it’s not what I was looking for in podcast discussing plane crashes. Please consider going back to the original format.

The hosts are unbearable with the idle chat and preachy admonishments. Old format was much better.

As a pilot, I find your podcast well researched and a good token to the bright side of these horrible crashes. I’ve been listening for a while now and I really enjoy how you explain the contributions to aviation that these crashes made advance and make flying safer. Great work!!!

Love the pod so much! So thorough, well researched, and fascinating. I really enjoy all the historical and mechanical context we get for each incident, and I love the additional segments. Also both hosts are quite charming and great to listen to. I’ve been bingeing non-stop and hoping new eps will come out. I’d be happy to be a paid supporter if the pod is still going.

You know it’s a good podcast when other reviewers complain of “leftist bias,” and this was, as expected, informative and balanced. How sad is it that that’s now what I scan reviews for when looking for a new pod.

I do love the podcast , I watch a lot of plane crash videos on YouTube . The con to the podcast is that Stevie Wonder can see the leftist commentary. Let’s get rid of the face diapers so that we can ramp back up .

I really like this podcast! 😀The narrator has a nice voice that is not annoying. Sometimes I really don’t enjoy the other news and usually just ffwd through all that but in general it’s a good listen and I appreciate the work that goes into the podcast.
