Here for the accent but honestly, like others have said, it’s just easy listening. No crazy sound effects or over analysis of what is being said. Episodes fly by. Been listening since the early shows.

I discovered Real Life Ghost Stories after listening to the poisoners’s cabinet. What a treat to have not one but two amazing terror tale podcasts to listen to! Emma has such a lovely voice, it’s like hearing a bedtime story from a twisted auntie. Love it, thank you!

Emma approaches each story as just that—a story. She doesn’t get hung up on proving or disproving anything, like other supernatural shows do (usually to their detriment). The show also doesn’t go overboard on obnoxious sound effects… It just strikes a respectful balance, and lets good storytelling creep you out.

Spooky, witty, charming…what more can you ask for? Oh yeah she’s a Dr.!?! A lovely mini distraction from too many (take themselves way too seriously) pods!

So glad I found this. Amazing voice, great dry wit. Thoroughly enjoyable.

I found Emma on TikTok. Or rather she found me. Either way, please let me give you a clear warning. This show is addictive. Within a month, I’m binging this show from the beginning. I’m on episode 75 and I’m hooked! The stories are fantastic. Emma and Dan are super relatable. Sadly, I just happened across another review that mentioned Dan. This will not stop me from listening. You guys did and do have my heart. I have my own stories from growing up and my family’s dealings with the Ouija board and a family ghost by the name of Harry. Please please give this podcast a try. I recently started listening to this podcast and absolutely fell in love with both Emma and Dan! And then, I hit the episode where Dan had passed on and cried! I cried so hard for these sweet people that I had no idea who they were! The podcast just isn’t the same, but I absolutely love listening to all the stories.

I am just getting into the episodes when the pandemic is happening so if you guys read this on an episode I will not know for a long time! I love how Dan has such "logical" reasons for stuff and Emma is just kicking kids all the time lol! But it is the perfect mix of scary and funny! I’ve recently found this podcast and have started binging all the episodes. I’m currently up to episode 44 and working nights allows me to listen to as many episodes as I can. I’m going to be slightly sad when I catch up and have to wait on new episodes!

I love Emma’s sense of humor and I often laugh aloud at her quips. Whether she researches a story or reads one sent by a listener, she keeps it interesting. I heard about this show from Ghost Story Guys and started listening from episode one about 9 months ago. I am re-listening to them again now. Dan was lovely and had a great sense of humor; he will always be remembered with fondness by fans.

I don’t know how Emma puts out so much content. Always well read, albeit with occasional iffy pronunciation which she always apologizes for. Love the stories and the way she reads them. And she has several episodes per week!! Astonishing.

I was looking for a good paranormal podcast, and stumbled upon this podcast! I love both Emma and Dans accents! The stories Emma tells are amazing and keep me interested! I’ve been binge listening during my commute too and from work as well as the entire time I’m at work! Absolutely love these two! They always have me laughing out loud. I love how Dan is never ready for the stories, and the way Emma tells the stories is just great! Absolutely terrific podcast! One of my favorites!

I’m fascinated by the paranormal, not sure if I believe but energy doesn’t vanish so it must do something when we die, right? But it’s not just ghosts, I’d never heard of time slips before but maybe we touch a stone like in outlander? lol give this a listen! Emma is fantastic ❤️

Love! Guilty pleasure

I recently discovered this podcast. I’m binging them all day everyday since I work from home. Emma is now my gold standard for podcasters. She not only has a great voice but each podcast is so well written and produced. It’s just the perfect amount of frightening. I love it. I’m only halfway through but already getting a little sad about being caught up. This has become part of my daily routine. I have a feeling though that I will start over and it will be just as good the second time around. Thanks Emma for all of the work and research you put into this podcast. You’re the best!

Really funny to listen to - Emma’s Irish sense of humor and her talking about “drip kicking scary people/ghosts down the stairs” cracks me up! Worth a listen!

I’ve been listening to RGLS for about four years. It is my go-to podcast when I want to dive right into an interesting story without wading through a bunch of unrelated banter. There is a mix of longer-form, well-researched episodes and shorter “mini” ones with listener stories which offers a nice variety of length and depth. I love also the way Emma approaches each story with respect and humor. Her lovely Irish accent is a bonus as well! Highly recommend for anyone who loves a good, creepy tale.

I love the concept and delivery of this show. She is down to earth and fun to listen to. Ps update 2023- day 28 episode October- it depends on your location. In Indiana Indiana, yes they are required.

In answer to your question does a home owner have to disclose if their house is haunted when selling the house. Well in the USA in certain state yes you do have to say if the house is haunted. I don’t believe it is in all the states but it definitely is in some of the states. Keep up the great work! 😀 In doing a bit of research the only state you have to disclose that your house is haunted is New York. For all other states you do not have to convey if anyone dies in house or if it is haunted. If you would like to know if someone died in your house you can go to Diedinhouse.com in the USA I don’t know if it is for other countries.

Love the storytelling! The only thing that’s missing is some soft creepy music or sounds in the background. Would really help with the ambiance while listening. Sometimes I get distracted because it sounds more like lecture than a story because there’s no background noises to go with the story.

I can never be bothered to write reviews but I had to for this podcast. This is my favorite podcast ever. Emma’a voice is so relaxing and nice and the content is the best! As a staunch skeptic yet paranormal lover I appreciate Emma’s take on the stories she tells as she doesn’t just take everything said at face value like some podcasts do.

I love this Podcast. I am a huge fan of ghost stories, Emma is the best out there, a lot of podcasts can get annoying or they over do it. Emma know how to make you laugh and grip your chair.
