Almost Everything with Jeffery Saddoris

27

I released my first podcast in 2009. I was hooked and have been recording deep-dive conversations with interesting and creative people about what they do and why they do it ever since. I’m taking cues from some of my interview heroes like Dick Cavett, Johnny Carson, and Studs Terkel and distilling the conversations I record into one show. I’m calling it Almost Everything with Jeffery Saddoris and on each episode, I’ll be talking to both creatives and everyday people about their unique stories and lived experiences.

    He will be missed.
Thank you for the Father Bill episode, hearing his voice at the end made me sob. I’m honored to say that he was a good friend of mine and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of something that he would love and reach for my phone and then remember that can’t call him 😥 I’m a big collector of his work and have collaborated with him on a few projects and just having his works around me everyday seems to bring me peace just like the man himself. He said in his last print interview “I look around and the world seems dark and frightening. I want to be the light.”

Have you had ideas you knew where great - maybe even one image that starts the idea? But can’t move beyond that? I ‘ve decided it’s to ward off disappointment. Potential versus reality. R

    Hmmm
Granted they have the right to talk about whatever they want to discuss, I used to love when this podcast was focused on creativity and not politics. I find myself less and less interested, but this is just my opinion.

essential listening for anyone interested in making
I’ve said it elsewhere, but this is hands down the most important podcast I listen to. All of Jeffery’s work is excellent, heartfelt, and honest and the Deep Natter conversations with Sean Tucker aren’t to be missed. I play them when I’m out searching for pictures to take for a photo book I’m working on. Their conversations put me in the right headspace, are upbeat and positive, but cut through to the essentials of living a creative life. It’s like having two sincere friends encourage you every step of the way. Not sure I can say thanks enough.

    Jeffery Saddoris is...
...one of the best interviewers I've listened to! With him, interviewing/podcasting about art and creativity becomes an art all of it's own.

    So good!
I’m not overly “artistic” and I feel like so many podcasts force you into a box when it comes to your relationship with art. Jeffrey is so well rounded that I appreciate very much how his topics flow between deep and serious and light and casual. He, and his guests, are very well spoken and full of relatable insight. I highly recommend the podcast stream. Thanks Jeff!

    Thoughtful podcasts for artists
Jeffery does in depth interviews with other artists to work through their paths and their whys to give insights rather than meaningless puff. Great stuff!
