    One of my favorites
This is a great podcast for music lovers. Interesting guests and the host always does a nice job guiding the conversation.

    Soul nourishment
Everything about this podcast is wonderful. Whether it is a guest I know very well or one I have never heard of, Jason is equally prepared to engage deeply and meaningfully. His love of the music and the community it brings and his honest enthusiasm in our age of cynicism and irony is a blessing for my thirsty soul. I am not sure if I prefer the episodes where I know the guest and can follow all the paths they travel or the episodes that point me toward new paths of music and artists to explore for the first time. Get over to Patreon and support this show. Thanks Jason. Thanks Justin. Thanks AD. —MattZ in NYC

Always intriguing pod about cutting edge music
If you’re interested in music that matters, that is too interesting to be mainstream, this podcast will scratch that itch.

    No bull
Extremely passionate, informed work. Excellent conversations, with guests who seem genuinely delighted with the thoroughness of the interview

    Real talk for unreal times
I didn't know it going in, but Jason's chat with Jenn Wasner was absolutely a conversation I needed to hear this year in order to just get my head a little more right. That talk turned me on to Beverly Glenn Copeland, and now Jason has a talk with him that sent my brain buzzing as well. if Jason could interview the cosmos itself, I would listen. Looking forward to that future episode.

    Favorite Music Pod
AD Transmissions provides unique, thought-provoking interviews with musicians, authors, and creative types from a variety of artistic backgrounds with keen insight, an easy familiarity, and a refreshingly unhurried pace. Woodbury’s interview style is conversational and nuanced, and each episode inevitably inspires a late night Wikipedia or YouTube rabbit hole of discovery. Really my favorite music-oriented podcast out there.

    Horrible
Just listened to the interview with Phil Elverum. The host talked most of the time and was mostly ranting about irrelevant stuff. Felt like the listener should of been paid to listen, because it left me feeling like their therapist. Listening left me feeling angry. Also, it seemed like there was unneeded reverb and delay on the hosts voice.

    Nothing compares
You just can’t say enough about Justin Gage and Aquarium Drunkard. Don’t know who the eff these people are or where they came from, but delighted they’re among us. Keep showing us the human race is still evolving!

    Super Stuff!
Thanks so much for this awesome, groovy truly creative podcast that is a fantastic radio show for kernels and obscurities from 60s 70s grunge psychedelia with bits and bobs throughout, totally making great use of the format. Thankfully not your typical, bombastic, egoistic podcast. Greatly re-lives my college radio station so right on! Beautiful segues!

Love the content; not good volume balance
Always love the content of this podcast. But the audio levels fluctuate from soft voices to loud and music clips are not balanced. It’s an easy fix if they just have the podcast mastered professionally. Don’t force the listener to adjust their volume throughout the entire podcast. Otherwise excellent work! Thank you!

The deepest dive you can get for a music podcast
Justin Gage lays it all down on the line for the general music listening public.

    Wow, good discoveries here
Tuned in for the Gillian Welch interview (good stuff, only wished it were a longer segment), stayed for the Marisa Anderson interview--I had somehow never heard of her. Deep appreciation for her level of artistry, overall approach, vision. Nice that towards the end she cites David Rawlings/Gillian Welch as an influence, bringing it back full circle to where the episode started. Oh and the middle section, a review by a "guest critic" (my term, for lack of a better one), of a newly released jazz recording, was worthwhile too and nice a change of pace to make the episode varied in voice and genre. I'm in.

Wish they would go back to just music
Loved the AD show and the music they play. But the only updates to this podcast have been interviews which I wish would be a separate podcast altogether. They stopped releasing music in over a year and I'm bummed.

    Revelations galore
Can't overstate my love and appreciation for AQD! The blog, radio show and podcasts are all a true gift to fans of diverse and expansive musical taste. I've gotten turned on to countless artists I'd otherwise never have heard.

As I fan of the website I was super pleased to see this on iTunes. Finally a music podcast that isn't trance music. Nicely done Aquarium Drunkard
