“…there will never be enough of us in front of the camera or behind the microphone to report on the new narrative of the new majority.” Even though this is important for media, we face the same dilemma in healthcare. In emergencies or for those having health issues, who will speak our language? Who will understand our culture? Who will advocate for our specific needs? We need to encourage the majority minority to seek professions in healthcare too. There may never be enough of us at the bedside to provide culturally competent care to our growing population.

I love this podcast and hearing stories from our community. Mil gracias. PS- My only ask is that you give a voice to other Latino leaders that may not have the same notoriety as others.
