Brain Ladle is easily my favorite trivia podcast. The questions are good and I’ve learned a lot from the show. I’m a flashcarder and have made several flashcards based on things I hear because “Oh, that will come up again”. The folks on the show are also hilarious! I get distracted during other shows because of people hemming and hawing over their thought process and so on but not with Brain Ladle. I’m laughing along with everyone on the show. It feels like friends getting together for a challenge and in the mean time doing some good natured kidding with each other.

I enjoy the show overall. However, it seems pretty clear that Twy is cheating. She has been caught trying to get a quiz before. She is often muted. It also seems pretty obvious to me she is googling answers. Pretty frustrating. Otherwise it’s an entertaining show and quite funny.

Really really great show. What a great mix of personalities. Always always entertaining.

Hands down my favorite trivia podcast. I probably look unhinged when I bust out laughing in the middle of my walk.

I just adore this podcast and can’t wait wait for a new episode every week. It’s a great format. I love the mystery themes and also like that they laugh and have fun along the way. Such a fun listen. Will Neil deliver shame nuggets? Tune in as Kels, Davo, Andy and Twy rush to cross the Allison line and prevail in Sudden Death.

First, you have to know that Andy is John Goodman. Don’t try to tell me any different, Brain Ladle! Second, this is the best trivia pod you’re going to find. The permanent guests - Kels, Andy (nee, John Goodman) and Davos - are both clever (think smart) and funny. I find myself in stitches, laughing histerically, as I hike, listening to Davos rip off a string of semi-profanity, Andy waxing on about how he forgot the question and Kels trying to explain away how he knows more about Dukes of Hazzard than every Cletus in Athens, GA. The questions run the gamut and are not custom-crafted to make the guests look brilliant - quite the opposite. Neil is the regular host - the sensei - but fill-ins like Twy and Bettina are equally entertaining. Looking for great trivia? Go no farther. Looking for John Goodman? Same.

My favorite trivia podcast for 2 main reasons: (1.) the contestants are smart and funny and (2.) the format is perfect. Not too much chatter before getting to the game, and Neil gives the correct answer after every question, unlike other podcasts that give the correct answers in bulk at the end of a category. Easier to keep track of this way since I’m not sitting listening with a piece of paper like I’m at the pub.

I love it when Twy is on. She is amazing. The 80’s sitcom episode had me crying from laughing so much. Kel’s Randy Newman inpersonation is just amazing and hilarious. I love this trivia podcast.

I love this show and I love this trivia crew. I listen to a lot of trivia (trivial warfare was my entry to the podcasting trivia world), and brain ladle is absolutely my favorite. The banter is the best, the questions are great, and I highly suggest joining their Patreon because the bonus content is worth every Penny.

Love the show. Listen to it every week but... Ep 210: Cats? Horrible. Straight up, the accent bit was the worst thing this show has done. I've listened to all of them. Wasn't funny at first, didn't get funnier as show went on. Felt sorry for everyone else having to go along with it. Bad enough that Allison wasn't on the show but that accent thing was cringy. If it comes back, I'm out.

One of the best trivia podcasts that I’ve found. I do miss Allison and hope she can come back, at least once in a while as the show is at its best with her consistent good humor and infusion of a feminine viewpoint, but I still enjoy listening to the guys.

Wanted to start from episode 1 but it doesn’t show. Will check back in a week to see If this issue is fixed.

As a non DC-Marvel-Pro Wrestling-James Bond aficionado and admitted science geek, I can tell you that these guys (and guests) make me laugh and learn every Tuesday. The snark and sarcasm is strong here but always good natured. Do yourself a favor and get the Patreon subscription content, it’s well worth it.

This is great quality and filled with trivia! Many of the other trivia podcasts get off on large tangents but these fellas stick to what we came for- TRIVIA!!!
