These guys inspire me to get a little weird in these ever evolving draft rooms and to try and find new ways to break some rules I tend to stick to a little too much which adds a lot of fun to team builds, and for that alone I am grateful - simply the best ff pod and website in the biz

I appreciate Shawn and Colm covering all formats of fantasy. Even if you only play in one or two formats, understanding the nuances between them can catapult your skills from good to great. Perhaps my favorite application I’ve learned from them is viewing my redraft teams through a dynasty lens. When I review my redraft teams from the past year, I often get slightly sad that I can’t just run it back with the same exact teams. Being able to project a strong team a year out has been a difference maker for me in pinpointing the high upside, late season league winners you need for the current season. Thank you both for making me a better, more versatile fantasy football manager.

I hesitated writing this review over concerns that my league mates might catch on. However, I am so thankful that Shawn is dropping pods left and right that it’s the least I could do to encourage him, Colm, and Ben (on Stealing Signals) to keep up the pace. Much like Arrested Development did for comedies, Shawn Siegele resets the standard for fantasy football podcasts so high that other shows are a struggle to get through. Shawn and Colm weave compelling narratives about analytics-driven analysis that are memorable both for their sheer entertainment value and clarity of strategy and tactics. While everyone tries to demonstrate how right they are Shawn is one of the few who can perfectly explian how they could be wrong while showing you the path they are taking. Those who can acomplish that feat are worth listening to and following their example, both in fantasy and in life writ large.

Colm and Shawn are two of the best in the business. If you play dynasty or best ball you definitely need to check them out. Not only are they incredibly knowledgeable, but they are also really great about listener engagement. Can’t recommend enough!

I still remember the first time I read Shawn Siegele’s zeroRB article. Ever since then I’ve tried to consume everything he’s produced - and I was late to discovering this podcast! This podcast with Colm and Shawn (and numerous high value guests) is succinct and packed with actionable info you can use to improve your drafts this year. Moreover, they go deep into the thought process which further crystallizes the concepts from recent articles, and improves your thinking for your drafts/wagering for years to come. Colm is a top tier host who both understands Shawn’s thinking, and is able to push back to create high value dialogue. While this podcast is free, it’s worth mentioning that a rotoviz subscription is the best value in the fantasy industry. Keep up the excellent work!

A great fantasy football podcast. I love how these guys think. It changed how I think about fantasy football and I’ve shared it with my co-owner in my home league and it’s made us both smarter as we prepare for our auction. I’m still an avid listener even after last years Kyle Pitts fiasco! 😜🤣 And I’d be happy to write about my experience drafting with Shawn if I somehow got the opportunity.

This is hands down, without a doubt, my favorite fantasy football podcast. While I enjoy many of the shows contributors, I’d like to call out Shawn Siegele specifically as my unofficial fantasy football mentor. You know how sometimes you hear something that blows your mind, yet makes so much sense it’s shocking you hadn’t thought of it before? Almost all of Shawn’s player takes hit me like that. He’s without a doubt the best fantasy analyst in the game right now. If you want to get better and fantasy football, I can’t recommend this podcast enough. (Shawn - I’m big into the high stakes FFPC leagues and would love to play in a league with you, hit me up!)

It is my favorite podcast out there. Following Shawn’s logic combined with strong player opinions makes me feel like I learn something new every time. The narratives he can spin to find possible paths to winning the main prize is always entertaining. Colm’s calm demeanor as the clock ticks to zero os admirable as I’m yelling at the radio to press submit as I’m driving down the road. Love listening fellas, keep it up!

Colm is the Trent Williams to Shawn’s CMC. Colm does the dirty and is at the top of the industry. Shawn is the headliner for the entire fantasy analysis space. The smartest people in the industry listen to Shawn and read Shawn’s work to give themselves direction and measure their own analysis. But Shawn is not limited to that, he transcends the industry. As a radio presence, he could be anywhere. As a writer, he could be anywhere. The most articulate, thoughtful and considerate personality in this fantasy analysis industry. And he’s not even on Twitter

You could graph out all people in the world based on how smart they are relative to the breadth of their reach. I genuinely believe these guys know the most about their specific field relative to how many people are listening. none of my friends know this show, if people were to find out about these insights my fantasy career might be screwed. regardless i submit this review, hoping to take part in the draft. Rotoviz Overtime is one of two pods I'd call essential in 2023. The other is Stealing Bananas, and I'd suggest you listen to them both. My podcast time is dedicated to finding inspiration for new thought, not really focusing on specific player takes. The Overtime show provides a more relaxed, more moderate take on some of the more radical approaches introduced in Bananas. Each pod leads me towards thinking about the metagame of fantasy, player evaluation and draft strategy in a holistic manner, which in turn makes me a better fantasy manager. The through line and backbone of the two pods is Shawn Siegele, who I relate to academically with his thoughtful approach to the game. For the Overtime pod Colm Kelly provides a sensible, practical approach to the application of these principles. It helps that his charming voice is relaxing to listen to. The two balance each other out very well. Anyway, it's a great pod, and you should definitely listen to it if you want to strive towards deeper thinking about this hobby.

Simply put, regardless of your style of play or particular player takes, listening to Overtime and all the Rotoviz podcasts will make you a better fantasy player. The Rotoviz team has written about every format that exists in minute detail for over a decade, and especially over the last half decade the pods have become a steady stream of that same quality in audio form. But what I absolutely love about these guys is how humble and decent they are - qualities not usually on display in the 24/7 content world where fiery takes and takedowns grab the attention! Ive been playing fantasy football for 20 years and have at one point or another listened to all the different podcasts and subscribed to all the different sites. Shawn Siegele is by far the BEST fantasy analyst out there , taking into account his football knowledge, game theory approach to winning and the ability to spot and evaluate talent and predict breakouts, etc. This show is a must listen!

Love this show. Information is insightful and thought provoking and keeps me ahead of other fantasy players. Shawn and Colm are great hosts as well and would love to draft with them one day.

No show paints a clearer picture of the best ball landscape from early in the summer to the start of the season. They don’t slouch in-season either when the multiple episodes per week turn to focus on first rate managed league strategy. As if that’s not enough but, maybe, the most unique and special aspect of the (American) fantasy football podcast is the smooth Irish intonation of cohost Colm Kelly. That’s right, there are so few people up to the level of the great Shawn Siegele that they had to scour the rocky coasts of Ireland to find somebody up to the task.

Been in the same home league since 2010. Started listening to RV in 2017. First league Championship in 2018. Then 2019. Then 2022. Level up!!!

I’ve played FF for 15 years, and most intensely within the last 5. Having listened to and read from most of the big names in the business over that span, I can tell you that Shawn, in my opinion, is the sharpest out there today. Over time I’ve realized a lot of analysts are better showmen than analysts, with many poorly-processed takes. After 1-2 years of taking mental notes of analyst’s takes you can spot the clowns 🤡. If you don’t want clown takes, but fantasy championships, I highly recommend listening to the OT and Stealing Bananas podcasts!

Love the logic and insight used in explaining what moves to make and how they see these player values changing in the short and long term. Hope to see one of my questions answered in the future.

Colm and Shawn are brilliant fantasy football minds. Certainly a must listen for any fantasy football junkie! The shows are an easy weekly listen, easy to digest, and well edited.

Colm and Shawn do an amazing job sharing a weath fantasy information to better prepare you for upcoming drafts. The show fuses strategies, sleepers, ADP’s and witty humor brilliantly. A+ effort from both with every episode.

I only play in a couple home leagues, but I listen to this pod year round. Especially love the live draft episodes—it’s interesting to hear you work through your strategies in real time.

I’ve been listening to Shawn and Colm for going on two years now and the structural zero RB drafting they advocate has changed my whole perspective on how to approach all formats of fantasy football (dynasty, redraft, bestball, etc.) for the better. I’m much more intentional on how I approach fantasy now and I have much more fun playing. Not to mention I’ve been much more successful and the endeavor has become much more lucrative. Shawn and Colm are great dudes and have been the best fantasy football mentors I could have asked for! It doesn’t surprise me when I see practically all other analysts I listen to and respect stand in awe of Shawn’s player and team analysis. He makes navigating a draft board regardless of draft position or format look easy, and he always drafts a highly competitive teams. There is no other fantasy analyst I can think of who is at Shawn’s level. He has it all figured out, all the time. And he’s a joy to listen to.

Colm and Shawn are two ruthless assassins of fantasy analysis. Ive been playing fantasy since maybe 2016 and they suggested that I draft a lot of both Alvin Kamara and Pat Mahomes. And so I wound up with them on like every team. Then they told me to take Hopkins, and McCaffrey, an elite TE like Kielce and a backup RB like Ekeler. And while these moves are so obvious now my buddies often made fun of my teams for having such weird players they never heard of. So their recommendations at the top of a draft are way too good and their recommendations for tomorrow’s superstars are even better. Please do not tell my league mates about Colm and Shawn who have also recommended so many of my favorite tv shows as well. Lets Go! -Dave E.
