    So Good!
Consistently good stories told with great music. Spooked is easily at the top of this podcast junkie’s favs list. Keep up the good work!

    Best story telling
This is my absolute favorite show! Engaging and diverse stories, and incredible story tellers

    so much filler
i like this podcast when i skip all the slow extra stuff and get to the story.

    One of a Kind
Long-time listener and these stories are as amazing as ever. Many stories I’ve heard here over the years have changed my life and the way I see the world and spirituality. Glynn Washington is an absolutely incredible host. Hoping for a live show in Detroit someday. You can add as many commercials as you need to keep this amazing podcast going and give all those involved the compensation they deserve. This takes way more work, creativity, and effort than people know.

    I love this podcast
Not every episode is for me, which is great, but I’ll at least listen to the beginnings for Glynn Washington’s intros.

    Its back!
Love the stories about your family. My grandma’s house was near Gratiot and 8 Mile rd. I actually drove down Kercheval this summer around Indian Village. Did you go to Sister Pies?

    Left due to commercials
I understand the need to make money, but this podcast subject matter doesn’t lend itself to a LOT of commercials mid-episode.
  • Hopeonarope
Glynn Washington is a national treasure
To anyone who is complaining about ads, how do you expect them to make money? You don’t pay for the service and if you are than you are doing something wrong. This is a production, just just someone talking into a microphone. I’m sick of reading reviews from really amazing podcasts and they are complaining about ads. Then pay! TV has ads and if there are not ads guess what it’s not free.

    Used to be scary
Sorry but season 1 and 2 are great and scary. Now I MAY decide to listen every now and then when there isn’t anything else I’m in the mood for. Stories just aren’t scary anymore. Find better stories dude.

    Too many interrupting adds
The only reason I stopped listening to Spooked was due to the increasing commercials mid story. I understand you need ad revenue, but when the episode is interrupted during a story, it’s too much. Theres no shortage of podcasts within in this realm. Hopefully it changes in the future, but hopes are not high

Stories were better a couple years ago
Still a fan but some of the recent stories just don’t ring as authentic. I am not looking for facts or truths, obviously, but the stories shouldn’t sound so made up. There are lapses in logic and unrealistic situations. Some stories are so short they are barely stories—more like “well that was odd” type incidents. The Blue Lady episode is case in point. Clearly the narrator was lying and exaggerating. Artful lying fine, but this was such an obvious fiction that I couldn’t finish it.

    From Michigan and love this!
Was referred by my sister who knows I love horror stories, and she knew what she was talking about!! Love this and the frequent referrals to Michigan make me feel at home. The stories are scary, and the beats add a lot. Don’t worry, I’m not turning out the light!

    Love this show
I probably listen to this show more than its progenitor show. I don’t know if I always believe the stories but the storytellers usually offer no explanation. A weird thing happened and they survived to tell us about it. A few times,I paused the story until daytime. Listen and enjoy.
  • I think you may agree with me
    Good but could be better
Spooked says it features true-life paranormal stories. Some of the stories feel like they could be real while others are read poorly from a script or are so clearly contrived. Feels like it’s hit and miss with only half worth listening to. But of that half, I am hooked. I just wish they would do a better job of filtering out the outlandish ridiculous stories told by people who aren’t even convincing in their “retelling”. That would take this podcast to the next level.

    Excellent!
Been listening for years. The ads are obnoxious and don’t fit at all with the show, but ads are always obnoxious and louder than everything else. But the show itself is otherwise perfect. I recommend it highly if you like paranormal stories.

I absolutely love this podcast even though it haunts me. I can’t let it go! These stories are compelling and beautiful and a little terrifying.
  • AngiRose86
    Loved this show but Ads
What happened to leaving ads at the beginning and end? I wish ads weren’t in the middle of the story. It jars me out of the story. I get ads are needed and skippable, but it still breaks the allure of the story the guests are providing. It’s like being interrupted while reading a really good book.

    Greatest Show!!
I have been listening to Spooked since before it was Spooked on Snapped Judgement and have followed it as it grew. It’s a fantastic show - a little spooky, a little scarier but oh so human. It is all about the more mysterious parts of the human experience. Real? Fake? Who cares! Ever show sounds authentic and sends a shiver down your spine and leaves a question in your mind. Extremely well produced and hosted by the amazing Glenn Washington. If you love campfire tales this podcast is for you. Take it from an original Spookster - never, never, never, ever turn out the lights.

Quality of stories has greatly diminished
Longtime listener here. Without a doubt, this is the best produced of all the paranormal podcasts. The theme music is pretty amazing and I love the sound production. But the quality of the paranormal stories is no longer that great. Also please make some of the early classic stories you broadcasted available. I haven’t been able to access these since the Luminary paywall came down.
  • Vile Goji
    More story, please
Love this show in principle, but it has gradually turned into a platform for ill-timed advertising.

    I LOVE This Show!
Spooked is amazing! Don’t know why I’ve never written a review before, but it’s a must listen podcast! I just finished listening to “Uncle Charlie” & I believe every word that was uttered. Host, production, music is all phenomenal! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
  • Meliaqua11
    The bestest in the westest!
Wonderful podcast. I love the music, the sound effects. I love how Glynn shares a quick story about himself and his life/memories before the main story. It’s great! His voice is deep and rich and soothing, he’s born to tell these amazing stories. I will listen to Spooked until the day I die! 🖤
  • FluffHead420
    Very well done show
From the poetic intros and outros, the music, the narrator told stories, to the listener stories. The mixture of those elements feels interesting and new. Everything about this show is perfect. It's so creepy and fun. Outstanding storytelling. Just very well done.
  • QDoggieDogg
    Amazing From Start To Finish
The stories are incredible, well researched, and explore many different traditions. But I would pay good money to hear a podcast featuring just stories from the host, Glen Washington. Nobody tells a story like that guy tells a story.

Ads in the middle of stories
Why in the name of sweet baby Jesus, do we need to put an ad right in the middle of the climax of a story? I can think of no better way than to immediately lose anyone’s attention, or the tension that you’ve built up to that point. Whosever idea this was, please rethink it.
  • MCD525
    Wrap it up
The stories are good. The intros are so long and rambling. 11:00+ minutes before the stories is so much.
  • ChicoMom2011
I love this podcast so much y’all
I’m sitting here on a Sunday, listening to Spooked. I love this show almost as much as I love Glynn Washington himself. I grew up in the Bay Area so listening to him is like home to me. Also, I have family in Michigan where Washington is from, originally. But these stories, man!! So well told, so expertly produced. And it’s free! (Make sure to donate though). The music is *amazing*. I will always listen to whatever Glynn Washington is a part of because he’s such an amazing storyteller. He’s so talented and is just such an interesting human being. Spooked, y’all. Listen to it for Spooky Season and if it’s your first time, you’ll be hooked.
  • RnDmTask
    5 min filler
The listener/editor stories are great but the 5 minutes of bad story by the host is too much. Worth skipping.
  • мëℓod¥be4†
    So many Ads!
I use to love this show, but since the introduction of these long corporate ads, 3 or more times per episode , I can no longer listen. I would be happy to pay a subscription to remove these ads. They really destroy the listener experience and it removes the powerful emotions from each story. Sorry, I don’t want to hear a McDonald’s ad in the middle of a chilling, emotional story. But maybe that’s just me.
  • moorejw6
    So much more time
I skip through the first few minutes and the last few minutes of each episode. The stories are the only parts worth listening to. And with how much time the host talks, you could absolutely fit another story in there along with it.

    Best spooky stories!
Best. Spooky. stories. Ever. Nicely told with good editing and sound effects. Thank you!!! I look forward to new episodes every week.
  • JujuB08
    Good storytelling
I enjoy all the spooky stories but I usually forward through the first 4-6 mins to get to the actual stories. I like the hosts voice and music but too long of an intro to get to the good stuff.

    Greetings from Grand Rapids
I’ve been listening to Spooked since 2018 and it never gets old. It’s especially a fun listen around this time of year. I know people complain about long intros but I think half the fun comes from the theatrics and Glynn’s storytelling. Makes me feel like I’m sitting around a campfire. I also love when Glynn shouts out MI, as a fellow Michigander. PS. Even if Spooked isn’t on the local radio you can guarantee I’m listening over here in GR! If I had to make a complaint it would be the amount of ads, but I know that helps to keep the pod going. Keep it up!

    A masterpiece
My family and I tune in every Friday just to listen to Glynns intro. Absolutely sets the tone for each episode with his mysterious voice and just love the intro’s music! His personal experiences add to the flavor of each podcast and gives us insight to why he pours his soul and talent for this show.

I used to love these stories but ever since Covid (why, I don’t know) they’re not great. Bring back the old ones, I’ll listen all over again.

    Great stories
I adore these Spooked stories. I get excited every fall when they start releasing more However, cannot stand to listen to the narrator. He talks too slowly for too long with too many distracting distortions

    Love This Show!
Love Glynn Washington and everything about Spooked! One of my favorite scary podcasts and I’m really picky about what I listen to. Everything from the storytelling to the music and production is so good. Also love the connection to the Bay Area (where I’m from :))
  • bonerr
    Greedy commercials have destroyed spooked.
I love spooked. It’s my favorite podcast. But this season they let greed destroy it. There are some podcasts that can have mid show commercials, but this isn’t one of those podcasts. Imagine you’re deeply invested in a story, about to hear a big revelation, then BAM, your interrupted about some dumb product. And it’s not only once, it’s three times per 30 minute episode. That’s just gratuitously uncalled for greed . Cmon guys, have you no shame?

    Loveee it!
I just finished listening to the Spooked live show, and I was moved to tears. This episode was not only inspiring but truly felt like a masterpiece. The storytelling was so beautifully crafted, unraveling a seemingly hopeless story that twisted into something filled with hope, love, and forgiveness. It was a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit. I’ve listened to many episodes, but this live show was by far the best one yet. Thank you for creating something so powerful and meaningful. It will stay with me for a long time.
  • maggotmami
enjoyable but sort of a sensory nightmare
really love the storytelling aspect, but JEEZ some of the sound effects make this awful to listen to. literally trying to get through the most recent episode about the bagpiper and the CONSTANT bagpipe sounds are putting me into sensory overstimulation. i enjoy podcasts to relax and do chores, and this might not be for me anymore.

    Best Storytelling EVER
Spooked is the most gripping, original, touching, unique, best written, and best produced podcast I've ever listened to. It's also got the most believable paranormal stories of any I've listened to, but even if you're not really into that genre, the human interest aspect is still so touching and beautiful and Glynn's personal stories scattered throughout are fascinating. He also just has a fabulous voice and wicked sense of humor so you'll cackle and cry the whole time.

True Story of Ghostly Possession: Bagpiper from Beyond
Great story, thank you, my favorite
  • Nope5678!
    Great podcast, too much fluff
Love that the podcast is people telling their own stories, but I skip through at least 15-20 minutes of a 45 minute episode because it is just the host talking or spooky jazzy music playing. I hesitate to recommend to people because while the host is trying to be funny or scary (I think?), it’s just embarrassing.
  • Grimiss
    Some recent issues…
I’ve been an avid spooked listener since the very beginning. However, the past few years, most of the episodes in the feed are just recycled episodes from old seasons, many of which I spent money to listen to. Speaking of… the commercials are out of hand. 4-5 spots every 5 or so minutes is crazy. Please consider when ppl are listening to these shows, to relax, unwind - and with a commercial break full of random brands is very disruptive, and loud. I wish there were still an option to pay some amount to get a better listening experience.
  • Ayababajones❤️
    Delightful
This is my favorite podcast ever. Love the diverse storytelling and Glynn’s intros. Only problems: wish there were more of them, and want fewer commercials. Four before the episode and more interrupting the story is really annoying.
