Leaving me in limbo. At times I like it and others I’m like… uhhhh…. I have been listening since they first started producing. I keep hanging in there hoping for one more best. 1st and 2nd season were great.

    Sensational
I loved the first two seasons and got so attached to the characters. AND THEN THEY DIED. It was hard to get attached to the new characters but I got there eventually. I was so happy when Graham hadn’t died.

    Amazing
I took a listen to this podcast on recommendation by Scott Sigler, whom I am a huge fan of. And he was right this podcast is fully immersive and leaves me wanting the next season! I would highly recommend this podcast to anyone who enjoys good horror stories.

    THE BEST
This podcast got me into listening to more horror podcasts, and it is still the best I’ve heard. The first season of this will hook you until you’re seasons deep in the tales of the tower and dark dice

    Listen to this NOW
I have listened to all seven seasons three times over about a year. The fact that this podcast is written by one person and that the team producing it is just two people is insane. The quality of this indie podcast is higher than most studio funded podcasts. The sound design is genius, it’s completely immersive, you feel like you’re there with the characters as the story unfolds. The horror is creative, unique, and genuinely terrifying. Beyond that, this show has some really realistic relationships, and there’s a lot of moral ambiguity that makes the storyline interesting as you try to decide who and what to root for- nothing is as it seems. Goshawk is my favorite arc so far, it’s AMAZING. I listened in one day and the suspense was so good I was driving with my knuckles clenched hard on the steering wheel, heart in my throat. The voice acting is across the board stellar, and I love how they use international actors and include a lot of foreign language in the show. It adds to the ambiance and also adds a layer of authenticity to the storyline. And this isn’t easy voice acting- these actors have to convince us they’re in a desolate arctic research station fighting for their lives, or dragging themselves half dead down a mountain in Patagonia, or running through bare snow with a broken foot. It’s just so real. The dialogue is incredibly natural to the point where it just feels like listening I. To a conversation, not like it’s scripted. Also, the level of research that went into this and the accuracy of the little details really stands out. This is one of my top five all time favorite podcasts, and I listen to podcasts every single day, so I go through quite a lot. The found footage aspect is also very cool and adds to the atmosphere, and I love how the recording quality is affected based on the decide it was supposedly recorded on. To the creators: you’ve made something really, really special. Thank you for sharing this with the world, it’s a story that deserves to be told and shared and binged and then listened to again and again.

    Lost me at saison 3

    Phenomenal. Updated for Goshawk
I absolutely adore this show so far. I saw alot of folks giving Peter Lewis grief over his voice acting but I love it! I always get excited when he’s on The Nosleep Podcast! So happy to have found more work of his. This show can be a tad bit slow for me at times but the build up is also great! It does what it’s meant to. I immediately started telling my friends and family about this podcast after binging 2 seasons at work. The horror is just *chef’s kiss*! I know many people seem to be unhappy with Goshawk but I am still absolutely enthralled with the series. I really enjoy that we’re seeing more into the families and how they’re handling this new problem. I’ve been supporting the show for a while now and will continue to do so. People would’ve complained if they had written another group finding another site and going through the horrors similar to the groups in seasons 1-5. I enjoy the new direction and applaud the team for taking the show somewhere new and different. I am really enjoying season 7 so far. I’m on the edge of my seat!

    Verbose and Preachy
Excessive amounts of dialogue that does not appear to advance the story forward. Very wordy and self indulgent. This is very evidence in the current season.

    Long and Drawn Out
I’m trying to understand what is so good about this podcast. I’m on the 8th episode and I’m still waiting for ANYTHING to happen! All the accents seem overdone and forced

Great set up and thriller, then takes a huge nose dive (Update)
Update: I just started Season 6 and I’m changing my rating to 3 stars because the show took such an incredible departure and frankly a nose dive after 5 seasons. I was extremely surprised because basically I was committed to the characters and the narrative. I guess what happened was that the timeline accelerated by many many years? But I just don’t understand. Everything from the style to the lack of narration to the missing science fiction and mythical components to the storyline took a complete 180…. I felt like I was listening to something truly unique and then it quickly turned into any old murder mystery podcast. I’m very very Disappointed and I won’t be listening anymore. Seasons 1 to 5 were incredible. Awesome show. Just finished season 1. I heard about the podcast from Scary Interesting the YouTube series and I struggled to find it. They should do more promotion if they can. After I finally found it it took me a few episodes to dive in and acclimate with the characters. Once I did it was over, I was hooked. I definitely recommend it’s a nice chill listen with enough scary moments and psychological thriller aspects to keep and grow the attention and imagination. Can’t wait to see what the other seasons have in store.

Cool story but the “Spanish” is killing me
I started this today. On season 2 now. But, the “Spanish” is really making me not want to keep listening. This is coming from someone that is Mexican and can speak both languages. It feels forced. The accent is way off, it sounds more Italian than Mexico City Spanish. I say that because one of the creators of this podcast was trying to go for that style of Spanish. It’s not even close. I get what they are going for but it really falls short. I like that they are trying to incorporate different languages into it but it just doesn’t flow. I am very interested in the world they are trying to build but the language stuff is just not doing it for me. Every time Rosa “tries” to speak Spanish and then follows it up with English makes me say, why? She can clearly speak great English. I don’t know. I’m going to try and finish it because I am interested in the story and the world but… we’ll see how far I can get.

    Top notch!
I cannot stress enough how great this series is! Engrossing storytelling, great voice acting and sound effects. Truly binge worthy!

    Love this podcast, but….
I love this podcast so much. The story in the first three seasons was great, but recently I felt that the story has gotten boring. This most recent seasons has been really slow and tedious. I also feel like the writing has gotten worse. It makes no sense to narrate every action in the hotel and some of the dialogue is just bizarre. It doesn’t feel like a human is saying it. I really hope this is just a bad season and it will get better but I don’t think it will.

    Entertaining and dramatic
Quite enjoying this “Blair Witch” type “found audio and writings” pod. Thru season two and it keeps me hitting play.

    When it’s great, it’s GREAT
There have been a couple seasons that weren’t what I’d hoped, but the rest of them are everything I could dream of in a horror pod. Great writing, acting, sound design, and horror. This has all the vibes of John Carpenter’s The Thing for me, but maybe mixed with The Descent and some Lovecraft or something for good measure. I’ve even paid for some of the seasons behind paywalls and had fun with those.

    The Perfect Narrative
I randomly asked ChatGPT for podcast recommendations and “The White Vault” popped up, I am glad it did cause this is amazing. The writing is sublime, and I am more engaged with this narrative than freaking last time. Will be binging all the way to season 7.

Characters Not well delineated and confusing
All the Spanish speakers sounded the same. And they went way too far before translating into English what they were saying. Rather than constantly going back to figure out who said what , i gave up after awhile.

    Jury still out
Season 1 and 2 were decent. Season 3 is flat out boring garbage. Gonna go through season 4 and see what happens. If it gets a lot better I’ll revise the review.
  • toughasnaols
    Worth a listen!
Voice acting and music and editing were amazing throughout. Season 1 was incredible, Season 2 also enticing. I think the story as a whole gets dragged on a bit too much, making the later seasons weaker.
  • MairiMoofah
    Great story
GREAT story, really love it. But a lot of the voice acting almost ruins it entirely.
  • Murchisonge
    Fantastic!!
If I could give this show 6 stars I would. I was not expecting to have my soul grabbed and twisted and turned by this show, but it hurled me down the line through 6 seasons in about 3 days. I can’t wait for the next season! Thank you for this!

    Good, then meh..
No spoilers: this is a fun, interesting podcast, for awhile. Seasons 1 and 2 are worth a listen.. I’m on episode 8 of season 3, and it’s time to dump out.. the sound direction is very good throughout, but the script/ plot development reaaaally drags with season 3.. too much emphasis on being authentic, and very little consideration given to delivering a compelling, interesting story.. again, a fun 1st 2 seasons, then let it go..
  • Bhoelle1809
    Season 1-3 spoiler-free review
Season 1 was a fantastic thrill, and season 2 capped off the story in a satisfying way. Season 3 was the beginning of a new adventure and had a lot to live up to, but I think it misses the mark. The focus on realism definitely adds to the atmosphere of the story, but I think it detracts from the entertainment value. Season 3 is like a hyper realistic oil painting of a warehouse. It’s incredibly detailed but it’s not that pleasing to the eye. There is so much emphasis on realism that half the dialogue is in other languages. In itself that’s okay, but this is radio (essentially), so when these moments occur I tend to lose focus and potentially miss key clues in the story. The same happens with the intense technobabble - whatever clues are given are lost in the minutia of the mumbo jumbo. It may get better. It’s worth listening to just for the first two seasons though.

Fantastic and complex but a bit lost
Edited update: S1 and S2 are phenomenal and must-listen classics of narrative fiction podcasting. S3 and S4 are very strong in continuing the tense mystery, and S5 was very good too. But S6 Goshawk falls short: meandering plots that were hard to connect to the main story, sporadic action, and vague dialogue (when you can hear them). And one of the new lead characters has cringingly bad voice acting. I actually lost interest and still haven’t finished it. I know this company is producing multiple series at once, and I wonder if White Vault got lost in the shuffle to its detriment. This is one of my favorite podcasts ever: I’ve listened to all 5 seasons and joined their Patreon to get the 4 other related series, which are solid as well and worth every penny to fully experience the White Vault universe!
  • RootinTootinRoy
    Amazing story with Great writing
Almost everything you hear in the series will be brought back up. The writers truly remember everything that they write, and they leave you wanting more every episode. All of the voice actors make the cast love able and draw you in the farther along you go. Wonderful series and I highly recommend their Patreon to hear exclusive stories that help deepen the world and understanding of events.

    Great Everything!
I have to give a big shout out to the production and acting teams on this one. Best recorded screams of any show in the podiverse. Hands down. Rich, deep, highly emotionally communicative, and yet not painful or overpowering to mine ears, nor too hot for my earbuds. The sound is precisely controlled to capture a great performance, and produce a maximized listener experience. I heard the grief. I felt it. I mean, I had to sit and write a review, because I was so impressed. I’m a serious sound guy, with years on the radio mic, and digging audio fiction from the early days (books on tape). For what that’s worth. Great characters, plot(s), structure!, casting, acting, and you know how I feel about the soundscape (storms, fights, monsters!): el primo, the killer. It’s steaks for everyone: both rare and well done. Thank you for making my days a little brighter!

    My favorite kind of horror
Atmospheric, lots of fascinating yet unsettling archeological discoveries, evocative details, an ever-building dread for the characters as all the kinds of wrongness with the situation unfolds… Presented as found footage audio, the pacing is excellent, and the voice acting is perfect for each character. I am freaking loving this podcast!

What an addictive conundrum I found. Hooked after one episode. Binged all six seasons in a week! I love it and am headed to listen to their other works now that the conundrum is somewhat understood. Amazing fun ride! Hurry and get here!

    From a non nerdy perspective..
Guys! This is the best show I’ve ever listened to! The creativity, writing and voice acting is incredibly gripping. For a couple in their closet, freaking amazing! I’ve binged everything and it’s all fantastic! If I wasn’t poor I’d give them all my money. Keep it up! Y’all are a godsend to my psyche.

I *was* riveted. Now I’m just tapping my fingers impatiently.
I was absolutely glued to this podcast until the current season with Goshawk. 22 minutes per show, 5 of which are commercials, and the plot has barely advanced after nine episodes, 2 weeks apart. I swear one whole episode was devoted to drying off someone’s wet socks. It doesn’t feel akin to the mythology of the previous seasons and there’s nearly no action happening on the part of the families that are collaborating with the weird alien entities. I think maybe the switch from found footage to regular narrative didn’t suit the podcast, and the new characters are not ones listeners are invested in. I hope we see a return to the tense, exciting world of former seasons.
  • alyalyalycat
    Never A Dull Moment
SEASON 6 - idk if I’m just stupid, or what, but I’ve listened to season 6 three times now, and still can’t follow anything that’s going on with “the family”. It’s really difficult to follow the conversations had between all of the family members, and it’s not obvious at all how the family is connected to anything else going on in the story until several episodes in. It also doesn’t help that season 5 ended so long ago. Idk how listeners can be expected to pick the series back up and remember everything that’s happened leading up to season 6. While I’d still give this series 4 stars overall, I can’t give season 6 anymore than 3 stars. * update* - subtracted a star because posting a “summer 2022” update as S6, E1 is really misleading. I’ve been waiting almost an entire year since that posting for the show to return 😒 I honestly think this podcast has to be one of the best, if not the best, audio drama/thriller series on here. Audio is phenomenal as well, and the narration is the best I’ve come across. You have to listen to this!!

    But Nancy Drew?
How is everyone talking about Graham’s voice which is clearly just an accent and not the fact that Nancy Drew is in it? I swear it took me so long to get past that. Great atmosphere, editing, and casting.
