Been trying to study for my PMP exam but all resources have been either boring or the information just wasn’t stick but this podcast has been a life saver. It’s real case studies with actual project managers who don’t sugar coat but speak as a matter of fact. Kim is such a delight and Kate is so cool and down to earth. Thank u thank you thank you ❤️

As someone who is very new to the field of project management, this podcast has given me so much valuable information. The format is easy to understand, which is extremely helpful when you haven’t had ANY training, but I can also see where it would be beneficial to even the most experienced PMs.

This is a solid project management podcast with experienced hosts that know what they’re talking about. The topics are very relevant and timely. It took me an episode or two to get acclimated to the presentation style and format, but then I enjoyed it. I think some episodes degenerate into idle chatter and get off topic when they could be more organized and give listeners some anecdotes, mnemonics or adages that they can remember and apply at work.

SO GOOD. Fun, succinct, applicable project management advice in a laid back podcast between two friends who are super fun to listen to. Thanks Kate & Kim!

Kate and Kim are so insightful, and they keep content fresh with great interviews and helpful frameworks to make PM life much easier. The best episode is the D&D one!

(I’ve been managing IT projects since 1999. I got my PMP in 2014. I find the PMBOK and most webinars boring or a waste of time. ) PM Happy Hour was recommended by a friend. I listened to the episode about taking over a project gone bad. It was great. I’ve listened to about 4 more episodes- each one is carefully planned and we’ll executed. I love the focus on one thing. I love the real actionable advice. I love the recap. I’ll be recommending this to my PM team and to the PMs that I mentor.

I transitioned from a sales career to PM. This podcast is a great way to get some insight on what it is really like to PM. Great way to supplement knowledge when studying methodologies in PMBOK. Fun and easy to listen too. Hosts are awesome!!!!

I am a Project Lead for one of the largest solar, roofing, energy storage and HVAC companies in Southern California and a massive nerd. I have been in the industry for 6 years as a project developer and now have taken a major interest in project management. A combination of binging this podcast and being half way through Google Project Management certification course, led me to the best meeting with my manager ever hands down. We were able to get on the same page, be extremely productive and at the end she agreed to work with me on a mentorship program for myself and something we could build out for other employees. I can feel the force and want more and more content and training. Thank you for all your insights and welcoming nature of the podcast. I look forward to listening to this and getting my PMP in the next few months.

I decided to change my career from being a IT hardware technician and other hats companies make you wear in operations, to become a Technical Project Manager. I looked for a ton of references, did some networking, and came across this podcast when I was listening to another PM podcast. This show rocks and so far my favorite episode is the #79 the Dungeon. So much knowledge was given in the episode and entertaining In a fan and subscribed

I just started my first project management job (in aviation maintenance) a couple months ago and started listening to this podcast because I felt a little in over my head (turns out that’s not a bad thing!) The topics really resonate and I feel like I have become a better project manager after just 1 day of listening.

I like when hosts showcase their personality however, this podcast almost always starts off with ramblings and conversations that exclude the audience. Often there is no context for what they’re talking about. When you finally get to the actual content of the show, it’s just ok. I would like more substance and less inside jokes / conversations.

I’ve listened to most Podcasts on project management and this is by far the best. I’ve binged almost every episode and applied a lot of the tools and techniques (shout out to RAID Log). Clearly actionable/knowledgeable and not too stuffy - keep it up!

I agree with other reviewers about the great, down-to-earth tone of this podcast. SO easy to listen to, SO easy to understand and digest. Very engaging hostess and interesting subjects. And PDUs! Great job, please keep it up!

Episode starts out awesome, until you get to the 16:21 mark where Kim makes a highly insensitive comment regarding COVID-19, referring to it as an “Asian virus” as Kate laughs along. A huge turnoff and distraction from what was otherwise good content. These types of insensitive comments deter you from listening to any other portion of this podcast. It’s a no for me.

I love the high quality of the information and the delivery is very engaging. Highly recommend this for any PM regardless of experience.

I’ve been a pm for 20 years and sometimes when listening to this podcast, I feel like I’m starting over. It’s a fantastic source of methodology and a bellweather for what the pm should be doing. When someone asks me how to get started being a pm, I’ll point them to this podcast. I wish I had this starting out to lay a good foundation.

The body of knowledge in these podcasts is great. I have learned so much from them. Plus they are a lot of fun so it’s entertaining.

PM Happy Hour is my newest “guilty pleasure” that was recommended by a work colleague. These two give it to us straight with wit and humor. They cover topics with gems of knowledge for newbies and provide some validation and affirmation to those of us with some experience.

I find myself laughing out loud and searching for a pen to take notes. These guys make project management practical and approachable for those of us who are trying to get through project implementation in the real world.

These two are amazing and give confidence in building your PM career. So excited to be a part of this organization!

This episode was so helpful. It’s like you were talking directly to me. I am a crier and always walk away from meetings feeling weak and dumb for being “emotional” this gave me a lot of tips on how to deal with it and accept it.
