JakeBoswellGreat!Anytime Jon, John, and JJ are together it’s magic. Either way, listen each week. Keep up the great work!
-
Ely2422The bestGenuinely my favorite podcast of all time. Whilst sometimes football is low down on the pecking order in terms of what ends up being discussed it doesn’t negate from my bemusement with what these lads come up with every week❤️
-
jmceagerLovelyI miss Alex Stewart and Mr. Macintosh could be a good addition but nothing like listening to the silly boys talk about silly things and Seb showing up to be non-silly. Football is involved sometimes.
-
LSUChiCubLove the podcast…however,It’s missing something, a je ne sais qu’à. Perhaps Iain Macintosh could help them, since I prefer them.
-
Rockin Ron 1987Great PodI’ve learned so much about London and its sports teams from this pod. I just wish there was more discussion about London and its sports teams.
-
dbeff123Second best football podcast5 stars. Would recommend for everyone. Really only second best to Iain Macintosh’s Daily Football Briefing podcast
-
Bubby1001I prefer Ian MacintoshYup
-
kjstrandlove the show butit’s better when adam is the host and joe is the participant
-
steve trumpfaceI prefer Iain McIntosh, though.Title
-
iancwebb123Good podcast, but…This podcast is obviously very good, we all know that. However, other than JJ Bull, it’s significantly lacking a certain silliness. Perhaps adding Ian Macintosh would strengthen the ensemble?
-
MattjccGreat Show!A great show! My 2nd favorite after Iain Macintosh’s Daily Football Briefing. Oh, actually, make that 3rd best after James Richardson’s Totally Football show. Oh hang on a minute, does the Totally Euro edition count as well… Ok, Tifo is my 4th best football podcast but definitely the 1st for funniest digressions!
-

RealJohnMcBest football podcastSo glad the best football podcast is back in its old format. Thanks for the heads up tweet, JJ. You, Joe, Seb, and Jon (especially Joe) are all legends. Don’t know who Iain Macintosh is, but you lot are all better. Cheers from the US

0scar Wild3Fly Like An EagleMuch like the eagles could have flown the One Ring straight into the fires of Mount Doom, Tifo has SOARED back into our hearts—and not a moment too soon. So glad to have my favorite podcast crew back in action.
-
JoshuaRumbaoaJGIt WorkedThey’re back thank the gods 😭🙏 This is just a prime example of how online bullying works. Thanks for the great stuff you do!

🌈🌈🌈☃️☃️welcome back tifo football podcastguys I’m so so glad you’re back, your chemistry is unbelievable and you’re never boring even when talk about football. as a podcast producer I was genuinely curious why on Earth you changed the format — did you have a conflict inside the team? were you just tired? or maybe it was The Athletic’s decision based on numbers? anyway welcome back and thank you for your work, I missed you

honuswagnerfanLet the guest speakI loved what the podcast used to be, and they still get great guests on most weeks. However, the podcast needs a new host. In the most recent episode, Jon goes on at one point for nearly four minutes without letting the guest get a word in. Either bring back the multi-host format for more conversation, or bring in a host who has the ability to have a true back and forth with the guest.
-
naaa82828The guest invited to the show called Liverpool 2.0 had horrible accent and white quality..

JtevansI Want More - can’t get enough TifoI love the Tifo crew so much. The YouTube videos are amazing. This is a great podcast. Wish there were more. Can’t get enough Tifo content.

OhPioneers_tacoJoylessThe core of the brand was simple: joyful football journalism. They threw that out when they relaunched the show. Now the show is like listening to two newspapers talk to one another. It is possible to be smart AND happy - but they seem to have forgotten that. There really isn’t anything to differentiate this show from a whole ton of other shows. The 4.7/5 rating is based on the old show - not the current format.
-
JuanSG123244FantasticThe latest episodes are extremely insightful. Go to ESPNFC if you need simplistic banter. Awesome job boys
-
Slow Down PrimackJon Mackenzie is too boringFrankly he can’t carry a show that was previously predicated on levity and humour. Human equivalent of watching paint dry. Bring Joe and JJ back!!!
-
Codygraham12Miss the Old TifoThe old Tifo would have been a 5/5. The ensemble aspect along with the humor and genuine football insights were what made the show great. The new format is just nowhere near as compelling. John is fine as a part of a panel, but cannot carry the show on his own. Hope they eventually get back to a format closer to the original, even if the panel changes.

Abou's CalfNot as smart as they soundThese podcasts are great until they talk about the club you support, which is when you realize they actually don’t have much more insight than your average Sky Sports pundit. Despite how intelligent and well-informed these guys may seem, they often don’t actually know who’s been playing for a club, where they’ve been playing, or how the tactics have been set up. Lazy mistakes and tired stereotypes abound, all wrapped in fancy-sounding language that will certainly fool you if you aren’t paying attention. It’s obviously fine for pundits to not know every single detail about a topic. But it’s not so fine when those pundits try to come across as experts. There’s an air of arrogance around these types, which I think that’s part of the brand. I’m starting to see through it. I’d stick to the silly content, as the actual football analysis is severely lacking and exceptionally dry.
-
AV9189Do they even talk about football?I was recommended this podcast by a friend and the first episode I had to skip 10 minutes in to get to actual football discussion. After about 30 seconds talking about man city winning the premier league, they’ve now been blabbering about god knows what and I’m at minute 19. That’s enough for me

Val from PhillyBring out all the voices- pleaseI must hear more voices- all of the voices - all of the sounds - the American coach, the tree character Tolkien made up, the valley girl, Frodo, gollum/yodo - this cracked me up- the British punk band who sing in American, eagles, grieeezman, Rooney, all of them - the best parts of the pod have been the voices- the pod will never die- because I will probably bust out Rooney 2 or 3 times a month for the rest of my life. Eternal stuff. Thank you!

mayorofcasterbridgeGood podcastWonky technical content, spoiled somewhat by frequent attempts at humour.
-
Jackandpirate3The bestSimply the best football/soccer podcast there is. If you are turned off by this show you are a wank.
-
JRF TexasRecent ShowsI appreciate the comradery but it’s gotten out of hand recently. A bit of banter is fine but i don’t listen to this podcast for three guys chuckling on about whatever. I’ve listened for years but I had to turn today’s episode off after considering doing the same on the last two episodes. Not sure if it’s the producer or the talent but someone needs to reign this in and stay on topic. This isn’t a comedy podcast and you lot aren’t comedians.
-
Chris in SeattleInformative and funGreat show. The best vibes of any football show.
-
Timery GuyPoints are bad...But the Tifo Football Podcast is good!
-
meb295The most important Football Podcast in history.Simply the greatest most fun football podcast that has or will ever exist. Everyone is very smart, funny and good looking, especially Joe. Check out their YouTube channel.
-
NorCalStickyIckyCarbon Footprint?Did I actually just hear you complaining about the US/Canada/Mexico World Cup because of the carbon footprint? Even by your standards that has to be a piss take.

Dillon Ford JonesNeeds to refocusThis pod needs to be better. One or two off-topic, irrelevant tangents are acceptable to hear every few pods but every episode can not be a conversational stumble through general footballing topics with very little genuine analysis. This pod lacks focus.
-
WottsyBest Football PodI’ve been looking for a Football podcast that suits me for ages- thankfully found it here. Great mix of personality with in-depth conversation about tactics, players, coaching, etc.
-
ironMonKiePompousIf you’re into pompous, arrogant and pretentious football talk, this is the show for you. The most unbearable of the group is Devine who’s attempts at humor are contemptuous and haughty, despite his clear ignorance. Their analysis is highly presumptuous and so often inaccurate, but they deliver it with such arrogance that you would think they’ve achieved a doctorate in football… If you are relying on podcasts to keep you up to date and receive some good data and analysis, I recommend finding a more honest source.
-
1226383):$So-soGood football topics presented buy snobby/liberal hosts. Is there any genuine people that do podcasts at the athletic that aren’t dorks?

NnikolovCut the merch pitchLove the discussions! But the intros and merch pitches , GOD! It took 5 min 40 sec to get to actual content. You’re losing me.
-
Matts08Good football podcastTifo or as I call it “How long can a group of Spurs fans pretend West Ham aren’t absolutely massive” is a terrific podcast. Worth adding to your rotation!
-
scottyroroAs an American, I give this 5 starsI found the TIFO podcast via their YouTube, which is also great. They provide smart and often funny insight into football that I enjoy. However, I have no idea what Joe Devine looks like. In my head, he’s a cross of David Tennant and the character Bill Nighy plays in “Love Actually”. Anyway, keep up the good work.
-
bl36chExcellentThis is my favorite podcast by far. My only problem is that I didn’t start listening to this earlier.
-
DavidSmith3350+1The 50+1 explanation was the most frustrating thing I’ve ever listened to. It wasn’t funny or helpful, and it took a long time to get through.
