parisbreakfastTour d’Argent is my neighborI have spent several fortunes in that boulangerie. And they Never close! I am no longer allowed to walk nearby. Thanks Lindsey for the insider info, as always, on Tour d’Argent. Bravo!🍾 Carol Gillott

horvbombExcellent taste of ParisNew to the podcast, I love the guests and different perspectives given. Some topics feel a bit heavy, only recommendation would be to intersperse some fluffier topics for lack of a better word: travel, escapism, perhaps more on joie de vivre (that episode was great but only scratched the surface).

eatsaltysweetalways worth a listenlike getting to eavesdrop on the most interesting conversations.

Hi_CopinesHuge fan!Lindsey Tramuta offers excellent real life insight into French culture (not just another Paris puff piece). I love reading her books and articles and having her in my ear for long walks. Highly recommend her work in any medium.

LJ HerreraSo insightfulAs an American living in France for just over a year, this podcast has been so helpful and appreciated. It’s hard to adapt to a new country and culture, there’s so much to learn! Lindsey’s podcast (and sub stack, and Instagram) has been a lifeline for me. It’s informative, fun, and relatable. The length of each episode always seems perfectly tailored to the topic and the production quality is excellent. Thank you Lindsey!

ayooni33Mother-daughter love for this podcast! My mom and I started listening to this podcast during the pandemic. We would listen to each episode and discuss over the phone to stay sane - keeping each other company and learning about so many fascinating topics related to Paris. It was a special way to connect with my mom and I am forever grateful for that! On top of the sentimental value, I learn something new with each episode - even when there’s an episode on a topic that is on its surface perhaps less interesting to me, I get drawn into the discussion and oftentimes come out on the other side loving those episodes the most. It centers important voices on social and artistic issues and has really broadened my own understanding of Paris as someone with family ties to France. Great discussions, great guests, all around a wonderful listen that is entertaining and educational!

Andrea L KAn Authentic PerspectiveI’ve been on a Francophile journey over the past year and I endlessly became frustrated by how so many design, fashion, interior, and lifestyle books and articles bowed down at the shrine of the French Girl trope. I’ve lived in a metropolitan city for most of my adult life and I know that all those books lacked authenticity and vibrancy of what makes up a city, let alone a country. It is refreshing to listen to The New Paris Podcast. It is swathed in reality with driving and important questions. The New Paris Podcast has easily become my favorite podcast and I eagerly await each episode.

unehistoiredeplageAn American talking about FranceIt’s for Americans this show. The opinions and ideas are definitely not French, but maybe for people who do not speak French and who like to visit Paris, this can be interesting. It’s definitely not defining anything “new” to France. May new for the American host.

zulu darBest show yetLove this latest episode with Khanh Ly Huynh and her journey as a chef. Plus the great music in the background ( Girl from Ipanema and In a Sentimental Mood ). Wonderful.

CablebritLove this!!I just listened to the podcast interviewing Fed By a Frenchman and absolutely loved hearing about the Paris fruit and veg market and how you have relationships with the vendors. This is so great to hear about and makes me not miss traveling so much. Paris is one of my favorite cities after London, and I loved hearing about the French culture. Thank you so much! Keep it coming!!

AimeeDTCan I join your group text? 😂I always enjoy listening to The New Paris to get the latest news on France and Paris, and those who do business there and call it home. But, my favorite episodes are when Lyndsey brings a “group text,” among a few of her globally minded, politically savvy friends, to the “airwaves.” No matter the topic, I wish I could join in on the conversation. For now, I’ll just keep on listening – until I get an invite. 😉

hannah in helenaGreat way to learn about contemporary ParisI look forward to every new episode! I studied in Paris for six months in college (10 years ago!?), and I love this podcast as a way to stay connected with the city I loved and to learn more about the realities of contemporary Paris. Lindsay is honest and insightful, as are her guests. During these isolating times, I appreciate that she is widening my world.

A Black American FrancophileBrilliant and EffectiveVery stimulating and refreshing podcast. I think its very powerful to include the many facets of France including race and identity. This podcast provokes engaging discussions that leaves listeners inspired with more insight about one of the most influential Western European countries ever. I appreciate this podcast for its sincerity and earnest conversations. This ethos is what separates this Francophile podcast from the others.

Haramab3Amazing! 😁The spectacular Lindsey Tramuta and all of her guests throughout the episodes have kept me waiting for the next one every time. The non-sugar coated and honest episodes are interesting, entertaining as well as educated and informative. As an 19 year old wanna be expat, the podcast has helped truly cement my love for Paris and France. If you add a podcast about Paris in your library, make it this one.

18rameyBook is great, this is still developingLoved the book and find the topics of the podcast very interesting. Lindsay’s voice is perfect for podcasting! She should soules on the interviewing style- she often interrupts which can be disruptive

Garrett M. KinderAbsolutely splendid!Every time I see there’s a new episode available, I listen to it near immediately! She has a lovely voice and a style of speech that keep me engaged from start to finish. The range of topics and guests on the podcast offer unique perspectives to an ever changing city that steadily maintains its global status of haute couture, exquisite gourmet, and of course as the city of lights and love. Most importantly, Lindsay’s podcast enables me to escape my mundane life spending a gap year in Cincinnati, Ohio by giving me intriguing episodes full of quirks, laughs, smiles, and “aaawwww.”

AOWatermanFounder, AOW HandmadeI recently moved to Paris and must say, The New Paris has become one of my favorite podcasts to listen to. I really look forward to the new episodes! It's up there with my other favorites, The Daily and Caliphate:)

kev_paris_88Relatable and enlighteningI really didn't think I'd find a podcast for such a niche base of Americans living in Paris, thats also intereting and novel. Great guests and variying themes that show how many facets Paris life has. Keep up the good work.

ReneeChicagoFantastiqueI am trying to understand why others would give less than 4 stars, it seems impossible to me!?!! But alas not all think that same. Here is what I think. Lindsey and her co-host are admirably knowledgeable about French culture and Paris in a way that most foreigners could only hope to understand. Personally, I am enamored with France - the language, the food, the culture, the mores and values - thus, I am intimately curious about all of the subjects they discuss. Additionally, there is a deeply intellectual bent to this podcast for discussions aren’t merely for entertainment (though they are quite entertaining) but also for a deeper understanding. And, I’d like to add that Lindsey’s French is impeccable... something I greatly aspire to and am inspired me each time I listen. I have listened to every episode and am always checking for when the next is released. If you love France or Paris, are into intellectual discussion, want to learn more about the “real” side of Paris and want to support wonderful women doing their thing, I urge you to listen to The New Paris.

GanissaMNExcellentAs a person who lived in France, Lindsey and Alice do a great unveiling the side of Paris that many American voyer it’s never look beyond. It is an incredible place, but has so much to offer beyond the well-known historical sites. Their guests are engaging while the discussion feels like a conversation over drinks amongst friends. Always looking forward to the new episode.

RemlisaInterestingThis podcast definitely has interesting content, I like the subjects and the interviewees, but the two hosts aren't very good as interviewers imo. They can come off as a bit condescending and arrogant. At one point they cut off an interviewee and asked, "you know why it's called that right?" I understand she asked that so that it could segue into an explanation for the listeners, but there's a much better way of transitioning to explicate. There's also a weird tone of dismissiveness in the hosts reaction to the responses that the people they're interviewing give. I also feel that it lacks structure, which I'm only made aware of by the hosts' abrupt way of interviewing, like they're trying to reign in the conversation back to a more linear narrative because chunks of info is being blurted out. Overall, I find the subjects fascinating and will continue to listen, despite the things I previously mentioned.

mhe03Stick with the bookI love her Instagram account and I look forward to buying the book, but the few podcast episodes I've listened to I think are an example of a podcast that never needed to be made - Lindsay and her co-interviewer trip over each other and answer for guests. Sorry to say but it's painful compared to all the other amazing interview podcasts out there.
