The podcast I’ve been looking for!
Having to unsubscribe as listening to this podcast lessens my enjoyment of the books. Was hoping for positive opinions. For those who will be listening in the future... Please adopt a more loving attitude toward the novelizations. Try to find the good in all of them before leaping to the perceived attitude toward them, and leading the newer fans on the podcast into thinking so negatively about them. We read them because we love them.

Excellent reviews of the Target books
I've been reading the Target books since about 1982 and they were my source of Doctor Who that wasn't available on my local PBS station. I appreciate the format of the show with the three levels of knowledge and that three hosts don't always agree with each other but can stated their opinions equally. My only complaint is the use of vulgar language in an otherwise articulate podcast. Otherwise, I've truly enjoyed this one and will be sad if it comes to a close at the end of the Target run.

    Too negative
I agree with others who object to the overly critical options. Too bad. Great idea for a podcast.

    Fresh perspectives
One of the strengths of this podcast is the range of perspectives, particularly from the panelists who have little Doctor Who knowledge. Some critics of the podcast say it’s too negative but that’s a strength, IMO. Some books are loved, while others aren’t. It’s a refreshing change from so many podcasts that are nothing more than gushy lovefests. And of the 75+ episodes, only a handful contain books that were universally disliked. I’ve enjoyed guesting on the podcast precisely for these reasons. They help me see new perspectives of the books that established fandom has often overlooked. I look forward to each episode.

The best podcast about Dr. Who Target Books!
As a long time fan and a guest panelist on this podcast, I love how entertaining it is. I love the facts behind the novel vs. TV show. Tony's humor is really addictive. Allison and Dalton are great as well. You should be listening to this!

    Fun for everyone
Tony knows sooo much about Doctor Who, makes it fun and easy to understand for someone like me who is just getting into it.

    Too condescending
Too negative about the books. Started listening after Terrance Dicks passed and the host’s jokes and negativity are not appreciated.

    Bullseye!
This podcast hits the mark that I felt was missing from the universe - focus on the Novelizations from multiple perspectives. Fun is had, they treat their listeners well, and stuff is revealed that might not have occurred to the entrenched reader (or in most cases it’s been so long since reading that any analysis is refreshing). Subscribe at your own risk, as this will make you want to re-acquire and re-read all 300 novels!

    Terrance Dicks! Terrance Dicks Everywhere!
If you’re the type of person who enjoys watching Classic Doctor Who, then this podcast has every single thing you probably enjoy about your VHS collection. It’s fun, irreverent, thought-provoking and cheesy in equal measure, with scores of obscure references and interesting characters and the occasional digital version of a set wobble. There’s a bit of swearing and booze, but no more than a proper gathering of friends would exhibit at a correct viewing of ‘Death to the Daleks’ with a bit of spirited live commentary. Share and enjoy.

An Interesting Look at the Target novels
As a long-time Who fan (though not quite as long as one of the hosts on this show), I vividly recall the days of the Target novels. I collected them, read them and read them again and again. Now years later, Tony Whitt and a rotating series of panelists look back on the Target novels. But instead of the release order, they're going in the order the stories aired on TV. For me, that's the hook of the podcast. The rotating team is interesting and keeps things lively. They can get a little crude and irreverant at times, but who can't when talking about things with your friends. Overall, this is one of the better Doctor Who related podcasts out there and worth giving a listen.
