    Quality
The production quality put out by this show is comparable to Critical Role. I listened to a crossover these goobers did on another DND pod and “trying it out” turned into listening every day for the past month. I’m only on the episode from December 2018. Russ’ passion for this podcast is truly tangible as I continue listening. Good job, Russ!

Highly recommend this one! I listen to a ton of podcasts during my busy workday and this one has become one of my favorite go-to s for D&D fun and action :D A++

    Amazing podcast , Ya Doinks!
Not sure if this will delete my review after the first season but just binged season 2 over the last month maybe two. And season 2 was even better than season one. Love this group and this found family. Spending so much time listening to you all is a real treat and can’t wait to binge and catch up to where y’all at.

10/10 would play with this party
Was recommended this show from another podcast, Midnight Burger( which is also phenomenal), and I’m so glad I listened. 100% hooked, line and sinker. The hilarious banter between players and story development has me laughing out loud! The way they play reminds me of my own DnD party, so endearing. They’ve gained a lifetime listener with me <3

    Amazing podcast!
The character development as well as the characters is so interesting and immersive in a way that really makes you feel like you're in the show with them. I used to be a DM for a campaign back in the United States, but after moving to Europe, I wasn’t able to continue. But then, I found this podcast. The funniest, most interesting actual play dungeons and dragons podcast I’ve ever heard. And really, at the end of the day, it’s really just about four friends hanging out. Amazing show! 10/10

Had to stop listening, truly sad
Great cast of characters and a well run game. Started listening through/binging all episodes November 2023 while building my house. Got part way through season 2 of the show and they started up with their (and their characters) preferred pronounds. I shrugged it off and kept listening because it was an entertaining show. Then they started bringing in political views and the final straw was lamenting the under representation of POC’s in the world. I listen to D&D podcasts to escape the nonsense of the world. To have it injected into the middle of entertainment makes me truly sad and no longer wish to listen. I respect the casts point of views but wish they wouldn’t bring it into their show. Sorry I’ll never know how the story ends.

    Love this podcast
Stumbled my way into this podcast a week or two ago. Very well done. Really appreciate the constant encounters, puzzles and storylines. Grinding my way through season one, so I have a long way to go. Grown tired of some of the other available D&D podcasts that spend way too much time on backstory, exposition and role playing. Really appreciate the pace that you offer and the way you deliver it.

    He, him, she, her
The pronoun fetish thing is annoying beyond belief. Just stop. It’s stupid.

    Awesome show
Was trying to find a fantasy audio drama to pass the time at work and this is sooooooooo much better!!!!! I’m actually going to start playing a discord based campaign this weekend bc of listening to your podcast. My character is half dwarf half elf🫣 Been listening for about a week or so at 1.5x speed and am currently listening to Carla DM for the first time, and am binging through as fast as I can. Keep up the great work!!!!
  • Dan the DND Man
    Purely amazing.
I love the way you all gel. As a blind man I fully enjoy how immersive your Podcast.

    Fantastic podcast
I have never listened to a podcast before. I am pre podcast and I just never got into them. On a whim, I found and started listening to you all and in about 3 months, I listened to every episode! The humor and the interactions made me miss my old gaming days. Keep up the great work. Russ, ya doink!, fantastic job dming. Your improvisation skills are top notch.
  • Breakinbones@fizzcrank
    So many laughs
This has to be one of my favorite DnD podcasts. The crew is funny and engaging.

    Great podcast but…
Stick to the podcast and not politics. If I cared or wanted to hear about politics I would listen to political podcasts. I do not care about your feeling about politics of the day. Otherwise it is a great podcast fun characters and they play Iike the characters would do not like people trying to outwit a puzzle master. But again keep the politics to yourselves not what We want to hear about when starting an episode.
  • BG45
    I’m sure it’s great, but...
Tried listening to the episode 1 and 2 combo from Season One and gave up. They warn you right away they’re mid-adventure and decided to record. Thus your first exposure to nearly two hundred episodes is essentially being dropped into the middle of a long-running show you know nothing about, and expected to get all the in-jokes and know who everyone is.

    Love these guys
    These guys are amazing
  • Ben Vac
    Incredibly entertaining
This group has spectacular chemistry. I’ve burned through about fifty episodes (since the Spout Lore crossover) and have enjoyed the show immensely.
  • am i me?
    Great
This a great DND podcast with great and entertaining stories, battles and really well written characters. The jokes and comedy are amazing. Guacamole for life
  • Framerate games
    Top notch and great fun
Having listened to the first season and now working on the second, I was inspired to DM (first time playing since I was 10) the Rise of Tiamat with my two sons. You three have brought us closer together as a family and made game night a tradition in my household. Love your show and jokes. Keep up the great content and thank you for the laughs.

Brought me back to Dungeons and Dragons
After listening to this podcast for about a month I finally decided to break out my dice and get back into TTRPGs. The laughter and the friendship in this podcast brought back all of the nostalgia from my younger years, and I now DM for my friends and family.
  • Thadilthis
    Rescue Glorygem, ya doinks!
Listening on Spotify, discovered through Dark Dice, and been binging for about a month (made it to episode 77). The cast has a great chemistry and always fun to hear the marital spats between DM and Thia, who always tries pushing buttons like Dexter’s sister, Dee-dee! Hoping everything works out against the cult of Tiamat!

I’m not a big fantasy guy, but I love this 😂
So I started listening to this podcast today after listening to one of there other podcasts because I was really into the story telling of that one. So I figured I’d give it a try. Well I have been bingeing this podcast for the past 8 hours at work and I freaking love it! It makes me want to try out D&D myself because of how much fun it sounds. Also this podcast cracks me up, the very real casual feel to it makes it great without having ever played the game. Love you guys, also Russ is a Doink ❤️ My name is Rae Serbeck and I approve of this message 🤙🏻
  • Troublem8kr
    Awesome
Great show I never played D&D but this make me want to find a group. These doinks are hilarious.

    Amazing.

Having a lot of fun binging this show
I don’t play any table top rpgs but I love fantasy novels etc. This is a great way to get my fix of wizards warriors and dragons when I’m not able to read or play video games.
  • StealthSuitStanley
    Another worthwhile podcast
Good players, good characters, good game master and good story. A worthwhile listen if you are into actual play podcasts. Most definitely NOT family friendly!! It seems the ladies have the worst potty mouths.
  • .....j...
    Fantastic
I first heard you guys when wizards of the coast did their “Podcasts into Avernus”. After that I had to go back and start from episode one! Fun personalities and a lot of fun to listen to.
  • Elad the Daddle
    My new favorite podcast
Have you ever picked up a book that you just can’t put down? This is the audio version of that. I absolutely love this podcast!

F!&$ it - These guys win at D&D
I love this group and with I could be another player at their table! I discovered the show while listening to The Broadswords. I swung from their show directly to this one, simul-bingeing both. Consistent production improvements, roll-play and world building make this show a blast. Russ puts the group through the grinder one minute, then jumps headfirst into a gut busting “yes-and” NPC convo with a player the next. Amy sparkles, Carla rocks, and Tom rules. They’re all quick and funny, but still dig a little deeper for those heart wrenching moments. I’ve been bingeing all week and am at ep 75... It’s a big one and I thought I’d leave a review before I find out if $#!t breaks bad. No matter what happens, I’m going to be sad when I catch up and have to wait for new shows like everyone else.
  • Jöntsë
    Soooo good
I love listening to this show! Especially now that I’m working from home. The characters are always fun, just the right amount of silliness and toilet humor. Definitely worth a listen if you want to learn or already play D&D. Also check out Facing Fate, their sci-fi podcast, very good!!
  • JoGilb
    Finally caught up.
There players remind me of playing with my friends when we first started. Creating fun sounding characters and just kind of figuring out the best play style as we go. (Although our Druid wildshaped into a dinosaur and almost was never not a dinosaur (op as heck btw) and we loved being spell casters using divination magic and what not.) These lovely Canadians are just a pleasure to listen too, even if as an experienced player who knows what high level characters can do, can be a little frustrating.
  • DaemonTheDrifter
Makes me want to play D&D
I have never played before, but after binging this podcast from the beginning, I really want to. The dumb dragon cast makes every episode fun and exciting, and I have to stop myself from laughing at my desk. One of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to laugh.
  • jessiebee1909
Don’t be a doink, ya doink!
Boy oh boy! I have been following in the discord for ages and finally gave the podcast a listen; I have been a fool to wait so long! This podcast is by far one of my absolute favorites! Russ, Amy, Carla, and Tom really give it their all and honestly, they make the game seem approachable for those who haven’t been in the game for ages; you really feel as if you’re one of the team! A million thank you’s from me!!!
  • MrGrimm1
    Combat-Lite
GM constantly lets his wife avoid combat. Stupid banter and character interaction is the majority of the show. Very rarely any combat and if there is, the GM lets the players stop combat in favor of idiotic dialogue. The Dumbgeons and Dragons podcast gets 2 stars for being accurately named.
  • OaklandAllie
    Totally binge worthy!
Absolutely worth a listen, a fun actual play podcast with solid audio (which I’m picky about!) These guys are so entertaining, you feel like part of the gang as you listen!
  • Skepticalokie
    Great irreverent fun
Listening to the cast riff on each other, and the story unfolding in unusual ways is one of my podcast listening highlights. Great stuff! The cast is friendly, the story and characters are engaging, and there are some truly heart wrenching moments. Definitely worth a listen.
  • Niteshade77x
Amazing podcast, some would say life changing
All in the title. Love the way Amy, Carla and Tom get into the game and emerge you into the world. Russ is amazing story teller . This podcast makes me laugh out loud at work. Go become patreon so you don’t miss out on the amazing extra content they create.
  • Malkeith
I can’t even with these people!
These people have actually compelled me to start playing D&D! I guess I rolled low on my insight saving throw. Their witty banter and hilarious comments on life kept me listening, even during some of the slow episodes. If you pass up this opportunity to listen to them you’re just a DOINK. Edit! Their contests are amazing and aren’t impossible to win!
  • Fjfjh
    This podcast rocks!
This podcast gets me through my work days! The sometimes witty banter(other time hilarious outburst) the drive Russ nuts, adds a level of appreciation to it! I have been binging as much as possible because I want to catch up to the new episodes. I hope Grancis comes back again! I have made it to the never ending maze of pain. And I can’t stop now.
  • Ncoop93
    They guys kill me!
I just started listening to this podcast because of a recommendation from a different podcast. Now I’ve never played D&D before but I have seen it played and kind of understand the basics. But how they manage the story and game play really makes it easy to learn and follow along. For someone who doesn’t know much about it, this has definitely become one of my favorite podcasts to listen to. It’s got a great story and hilarious content. The bond between everyone is definitely seen and felt , and I feel like I’m right there alongside side them on their adventures.
  • veritasaq
    Great actual play podcast
All the best parts of sitting around playing with your friends without all the bathroom breaks. Russ, Amy, Carla, and Tom have great chemistry and the fun they are having is obviously genuine. This show has inspired me to find a group and start playing again after a 20+ year break. Seriously, give it a listen.
  • spacecase66
    Well done
I’ve binge listened to you guys for a month and a half and am almost caught up. I’ve used some of your ideas in my own campaign and am thoroughly entertained by the debauchery that goes down, YA DOINK! The forgetfulness is hilarious. I think you guys should start a podcast called “Saving Private Thea” (pun intended)
  • Biopsycho
    Fantastic!
I’ve never played d&d myself, always have had a passing interest but never looked into much, but these guys make it much harder to ignore! They get along so well together and have a strong narrative that’s incredible fun to listen to and enjoy. I highly recommend giving this a listen if you enjoy fantasy stories or even just people having fun!
  • Grawrock
    Love it!!
Ok First and foremost I came upon you guys by complete accident, but it was a happy accident, like Bob Ross and his happy little tree's. I listen to you guys at work all the time and just love each and every one of the characters and personalities you bring to the table!!! I have had to stop myself from trying to chime in and be like oh hey guys remember you have so and so.. but I remember i'm at work, and may look like a looney. Any who you guys are awesome and I love hearing about the adventures of Flint, Thia, and Nulara keep it up guys!! Sincerely Grawrock ( Thats my actual last name)
  • AirSickJungle
    Definitely binge worthy
I’m a fairly new listener and I am finally caught up after about 2 months of solid binging the show. I love the chapters but even more, I love the group’s dynamic
  • AlejandroKhan
    Great podcast
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed binge listening to every episode so far. This pod will make you want to play Dnd!
  • SpeicalOlympian
Do yourselves a favor and listen to this podcast ya doinks!
I’ll be honest, the audio quality of the first show nearly drove me away but I’m glad that I stuck it out because this quickly became a weekly must listen for me. Between the memorable NPCs and the chemistry of the cast you can’t go wrong with this podcast.

This show is a friggin' blast. The interactions of the players with the DM is hilarious, and the production quality gets amazing! I was smiling the whole time I listened to this and laughed out loud multiple times. Seriously, this is a hilarious show with a quick-witted cast who play off each other so well. If you like TTRPG actual plays this is one of the best out there.
  • Todd_Pdog
    Outstanding Cast
Curious about table top RPG’s? Thinking of playing either again or for the first time? Then give this podcast a spin. Even if table top RPG’s are not your thing you will still be entertained by this outstanding cast of characters. Think old school radio programs meets the 21st century with a helping heaping of laugh out loud comedy. Cannot stress how much I enjoy this program. Your hard work is appreciated & throughly enjoyed.
