Each episode tells of people from communities around the world who are coming together to solve huge, vexing problems by creating innovative strategies that address difficult situations. Their work is improving their own lives & our world. And THAT is what we all need to learn about & to celebrate! Thank You!

Great content. You have been able to present topics that are interesting to me as a parent along with my 11 and 8 year old. We listen to this on the way to school. The content provides me with lots of nuggets for teaching moments for them. For example, the other day we were speaking about supply, demand and prices. The gig workers episode was a perfect way to get them to understand how the 3 impact each other. And I learned a ton myself! Keep up the good work.

This is a wonderful podcast that inspires me to think about what I can do to solve some of the world’s problems.

Amidst a 24/7 cycle of horrible news comes "People Fixing the World." It highlights how often ordinary people around the world are responding to common problems that we can all learn from. More than merely feel-good news, the podcast analyzes the approach, challenges, and degree of success. Sometimes they have time to explore more than one approach. I love the global canvas, which is a wonderful reminder that no one country, region or culture has all the answers. The caring humanism and enthusiasm of the hosts are also appreciated. It is really encouraging to know that there are people out there in every corner of the world trying to use their efforts to make our earth a better place. I learned a lot from this podcast, and I really like how they interviewed people in the podcast. Every effort and small step counts!

A rare blend of optimism and realism, this podcast does a great job of presenting innovative solutions, explaining the solution's merits (often with numbers to back up the claims), and describing the limits of the solution. The episodes are packed with research, while the storytelling makes it great for casual listening. This is also the only podcast I've heard that asked for reviews without hinting at giving them 5 stars and I appreciate that 🙂

Honestly a newby to podcasts here but want to say I really enjoy People Fixing the World. I listen in my car with my teens and it always creates opportunities for new discussions. Positivity and a sense of a our global village come in each episode.

This is by far my favorite podcast. I’m constantly inspired by the people and solutions featured. Every episode, I think “Why don’t we have that in the U.S.?!”

Rare positive news coverage. I have this in my podcast lineup to balance all the negative news out there. We will fix the world by living in harmony with her.

Finally a podcast that tells it like it is. They explore so many problems and the solutions that are being tried. Most of these type of podcasts paint everything in a positive light and everything is all sparkles and rainbows. This podcast asks tough questions, does this solution actually work, is there any evidence that shows it's working? Downloaded the entire back catalog and I'm working my way through it. Great work BBC.

Each podcast presents one effort to use science and technology to tackle some of the problems we here about so often, from making biodiesel out of sewer fat to providing clean drinking water in developing countries using goats. Intelligently presented and with a refreshing optimism.

This a wonderful antidote to the plethora of negativity we are bombarded with on a daily basis. I regularly listen to an episode as I'm getting ready for bed so something positive is the last thing I listened to before sleep.
