    For all runners.
I am a fairly new runner but have quickly become very passionate about this sport. I have loved this podcast for its in depth look at all aspects of running. Gathering facts for the newbie like myself and feeling like I have a spot in the brain of an experienced runner has been incredibly beneficial to me and my growth mentally and physically during my training. Highly suggest!!!

    Favorite running podcast!
I've been loving this podcast lately. It’s such a great listen! The advice and suggestions given by Jason and his guests is so practical and helpful. I've been taking at least one little nugget away each week and trying to incorporate it into my week, whether it’s from the mental or physical side of running. It's also great to hear the coaching calls and just hearing about other runners training.

    Superior to other Running Podcasts
There are dozens, if not hundreds, of legitimate running podcasts available to those of us looking to improve our running abilities. I spend 6 hours/week commuting and over the years have found Strength Running to top them all! The information is relevant and applicable to wherever a runner is at currently. Jason asks and answers the questions I myself am interested in. His insights are profound, well thought out, and proven by experience. Thank you, Jason!

    Actionable Advice!
I find Jason’s podcast so science backed and engaging - and Jason brings years of experience and understanding of running to create such great episodes on how to improve your running! My first episodes were on Jason’s 5k tips and training, and as a runner in my mid 30’s, Jason’s advice on training helped me hit a times haven’t seen since high school! Thanks Jason for great content!

    Thank you!
Thank you for your coaching, your podcasts and the products you recommend. I’ve been following/listening to you for about 2 years now. I have a goal of running 50 marathons in all 50 states by the time I turn 50. I’m 46 and last year I completed 9 marathons to get me to 23 states completed:) - obviously still a long way to go. I would not be progressing without your guidance, guest’s expertise, product recommendations and the insight I get from your podcasts. More specifically, I ran my worst marathon back in August, the Lake Monona Wisconsin Rockin’ Brew. My head was in a horrible place. I listened to your Sally McRae podcast and I read her book Choose Strong- three weeks later I had my best marathon of the year, Nebraska’s Heartland marathon. I also now use LMNT during my long training runs and marathons, it’s just what my body needs to prevent cramping and energize me (at least that’s what I’ve convinced myself). Lastly and most importantly is your dynamic warmup. I swear by it and I know it’s why I stay loose and can continue to make it to both the start lines and finish lines of these races - THANK YOU!! I’m gearing up for another year of many races - hopefully another 9 this year. Juneau Alaska is also on my list this year, so that’ll be a big one to tick off. Keep up the great work and again thank you for all that you’re giving us runners - you’re making a difference and giving so many of us the ability to stay out on the road enjoying our passion!

    Thank you
Great podcast. Would love to hear the guests talk more. Would be great if ads were at the beginning or end, not during.

    Top Notch and well-rounded
Wanted to say thank you to Jason for his tireless efforts to bring knowledge to us runners. Runners of all ages, abilities and backgrounds! I cannot thank you enough for your well rounded presentations and explanations of training modalities, gear, nutrition, supplements and so much more. The guests you choose are so knowledgeable and offer a great deal of knowledge to us listeners. This podcast is always one of my top favorites and I consistently look forward to the next episode! Thank you Jason!

    💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
The opening gun cracks me up. I’m really enjoying going back through a bunch of these. Jason is pragmatic and offers a bunch of different perspectives on training and running in general. Paired with the YT content and there is just a wealth of great info delivered professionally while also being entertaining. I’m not very fast but there is still lots for me to get from this without feeling like it’s catered to the wildly competitive crowd. It’s definitely worth checking out🏃🏃🏃

    My go-to running podcast
I’ve been running marathons for 27 (!) years now, having run at a semi-competitive level, finishing as a top 50 female at the Boston Marathon multiple times during my 20s with no experience of injuries. Now that I’m in my late 40s, my body is just not the same and seems to be breaking down constantly. Jason’s podcast has been such an amazing resource for me! I truly believe it’s been the key to my being able to continue running for the last few years. Thank you so much, Jason!!!

    Quality Content and Sound Advice
I cycle several podcast on various topics but The Strength Running Podcast is always in my library. The content is very informative and stays within a lane of expertise and sound proven information not fitness fads or trends. You will not regret adding this to your regular listening routine

    Fantastic and insightful
Always a great listen for good advice on training. The carbo load episode couldn’t have came at a better time for me personally. I want to give partial credit to this episode in particular since it came out on day one of my carb load for the City of Oaks marathon in Raleigh, NC. Because of the insights from this episode I based my strategy for pre-race to include not just large amounts of carbs but heavy focus on liquid. This made it easier to get the necessary carbs for my race. Also, the advice take a gel every 20 to 30 minutes with a gel at the beginning of the race helped fighting off the dreaded bonk. Finally, the mention of taking a gel in the final 20 minutes of the race gave me the motivation to push to the finish and be a Boston Qualifier in my first ever marathon.

    Great Show!
I am listening to the Strength Running podcast as a very new runner and have enjoyed every episode I’ve listened to - and learned something new every time. Jason and his guests are super easy to listen to and feel relatable even though they are way, WAY faster than I will probably ever be. Thank you for making such valuable information available to the recreational runner.

One of my favorite running podcasts
I listen to this podcast in the morning before my run, as a motivator to get out there! I always learn something new and am entertained at the same time. Keep it up.

    New to Running
I started getting serious about running this year and have found the podcast very helpful. It’s been nice to dive into some of these topics as I develop my training. Helping me to incorporate sound practices early. Keep up the good work!

    King Jason
I’ve followed Strength Running since it was a blog. A lot has changed in the sport of running over the past 14+ years, but Jason has maintained consistency in one crucial way: he’s always on the search for ways to become the healthiest, fastest, happiest, most consistent runner one can be.
  • Dharma Wind
    Solid content
Keep it up Jason! Love the quality guests, and deep dives into training. Inspiring for upcoming runs.
  • Seakitteh
It’s ok, geared toward aggressive competitor types
Has good info but far from universally applicable. He likes to sound like the all encompassing “Everyman” runner but a few minutes in often pivots to bro-level competitiveness that makes it sound like you gotta be running a sub-7-minute mile to belong.
  • Beware extra charges
I wish the host would let his experts/guests be the experts
Often interesting topics and informative experts as guests. However, coach Fitzgerald agrees with and provides his own take/expertise on everything his experts say. I wish he’d let them answer his questions without having to then prove that he knows the answer, too, or share his own perspective on everything.

    RE: Alex Larson
She shared good info. , not really a dynamic speaker and her voice trails off at the end of her sentences. Perhaps a voice coach is order for some guests. Thank you.

    Fantastic Podcast!
This last episode with Brady was phenomenal! So refreshing to hear that life isn’t over if you spend time in Z3. Great timing on the heat adaptation episode too with it being 90+ in Michigan this week. I always look forward to new episodes. Thank you for all your work Jason! - Grant E

Informative topics, great guests…my favorite running podcast!
I’ve been listening to this podcast for nearly a year and I’m so impressed with the variety of running topics and guests that are on each week. They are very informative and come across as well thought out, yet have just the right amount of spontaneity to keep things fresh. The interviews, and Jason’s conversations are always enjoyable to listen to. I’ve sampled multiple running podcasts, and the majority of the ones I’ve tried don’t have the same feel that The Strength Running Podcast does. One of my friends turned on to this podcast and I’ve been hooked ever since! I look forward to new episodes every Thursday and I keep searching through the extensive library as well… keep them coming! Thanks! -Bernie

Used to be good, now too many adds
Too many ads to be listenable these days, and ads are for scam products. I hope things change.

Best podcast for relevant running tips
There are a lot of running podcasts and I listen to quite a few and appreciate them all for different reasons-great guests, interesting interviews and really just for their overall entertainment while I’m out delivering mail on my route. That being said I’ve always found Jason’s podcast to be my favorite for several reasons. Maybe it’s his vast knowledge of the sport of running or the science behind being an overall good athlete, combined with having great, knowledgeable and interesting guests. Whatever it is he consistently keeps me focused and excited to learn more about the sport and how to improve myself and sustain an enjoyment for it for as long as I can. Keep it up, Jason, you are an inspiration to me and I’ll continue to listen for as long as you provide well thought out content. Update-episode #355 is my current all time favorite!

    valuable information
This podcast usually drops once a week. Maybe too down in the weeds for some people but I have learned much from Jason's interviews and in-depth handling of the subject matter. A website (by the same name) has video demonstrations that are helpful to work on your core strength and conditioning. Sometime I have to refer to videos to see what they are describing. It is essential information, whether you are training for a marathon or your local 5k.

    My favorite podcast!!

    Oh That Yellow Runner…
Found this week’s episode very uplifting & inspiring. From blisters going to welts, to that one client of hers that almost gave up on completing her first marathon. Had me all teary eyed here when she opened the door when meeting her after accomplishing the marathon, and they both broke out in tears. I certainly did after hearing that story. Thank you Jason for having such wonderful guest on your show. Looking forward to next weeks… and yes, I strength train twice a week. A non-negotiable here.

    Great information just wish
I have gained a lot of great insights for my running, I really enjoy the episodes with physical therapists. There is an element I always feels is missing from running podcasts. What about those of us who have physical labor jobs. We are not all white collar desk workers. Some of us use out bodies all day and then train. I wish this were talked about.
  • Coach CRob
    Approachable and extremely knowledgeable
I will admit I am a bit biased as I love running, but I figure most of us listening are! I have yet to listen to an episode of Strength Running that I didn’t genuinely enjoy and gain some insight. The way Jason presents the information is so easily understood while still being in depth and thorough. I feel confident in saying you will at least be a smarter runner having listened to Jason!

    Saunas
I enjoyed todays episode with Jon Levitt. (I listen to his podcast too). The sauna talk was perfect timing. I just joined a new gym that has a steam room and sauna, and that’s why I joined it. Overall I love the podcast for its content. Jason does a great job! Julia

The Only Running Podcast I Listen To
I've been a runner for the last 20 years, only taking it very seriously in the last couple however. When I got really into training, I thought 'oh man there's probably a ton of really great podcasts' but none of them are really memorable. This one is consistently solid. The host isn't annoying and always has great topics. Definitely worth being a staple in your rotation.

So much good info in here
I’ve been listening on and off for years but recently have really leaned into this podcast more. Jason does a gray job of providing accurate information in an enthusiastic manner. Definitely makes you stand a little taller and run a little quicker while you listen on your run. Thanks for all the great content, Jason.

    Awesome show
I’m a middle of pack working mom if five. I’ve just returned to running after my fourth child at 45. Rediscovering this podcast has been wonderful. Full of practical and informative episodes that can be scaled from the elite runner to me, the weekend warrior working mom. Thank you for your show!

The Ultimate Resource For New Runners!
There's so much information online that it can feel super overwhelming to know where to turn for quality information. The Strength Running podcast and website have helped the process of getting back into running feel less overwhelming. Excellent for any Runner
This podcast has been vital to my running growth. Jason is exceptionally knowledgeable and he gives very well researched and proven training advice. I like how he does not sugar coat nor give information to just “please” people but he tells his audience the best way forward in their running. This podcast has helped me tremendously and has everyday applications that are essential not just during the time you run but lifestyle applications that have great results.
