SabertoothlessA little disappointingYet another 2 person podcast where they mention a famous person in their pitch but they don’t talk TO the guest , but rather just talk about them. Isn’t this what biographies and Wikipedia is for? At least give us audio quotes or something different.

4kakg11So Much FunThis podcast is so much fun and interesting. It’s so great to listen to women who love groupies as much as me. I would love to be able to listen to the first 10 episodes though.

Rachel Lynn80The first to really uncover the women behind the scenesI started listening to Muses a little over a year ago. I was instantly hooked. I’ve been around RnR, heard the stories, and read the books for years but Muses uncovered so much material that was new to me. An amazing focus on magnetic women and the men and other women who were drawn to them. The material and interviews are handled with compassion, sensitivity, and an insane amount of fun. Some of my favorite episodes include the muses of Walk on the Wild Side, Pleasant Gehman (Queen of the Sunset Strip), and, of course, Pamela Des Barres- the goddess of groupies. A must-listen to get your Rock on!

Jelleybean72688Not a feminist podcastNot a fan of women who try to bring other women down.

4insideAwesome.Over FOUR YEARS of research into an amazing subject! I can’t listen to all of the episodes fast enough!

NYC2122k19ObsessedI LOVE this podcast. So informative yet easy to listen to and learning about the women inspires me so so much. Such a great idea to highlight the women who essentially created some of the biggest names in rock n roll

BethanneTMuses is top class! This podcast is so incredibly amazing! Chanty and Lynx truly bring to life the stories of women behind and in front of rock and roll!

abbey292The BESTYou guys... if you’re into classic rock or music in general, you need to give this podcast a listen. Chanty and Lynx are so knowledgeable and passionate about music and the muses that inspire them. I’ve been listening for years now (and somehow haven’t left a review!!! If only I could on Spotify too!!!) and I am still loving every minute of this podcast. Give it a listen and enjoy (because there is absolutely NO way you won’t!!)

leahelizabethjAwesome, female-led podcastAn original, well-researched and fun podcast! Chanty and Lynx are fun to listen to, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into crafting each episode.
-
cinemastaticThe best women centric podcastMuses is full of informative facts in history and the pasts of women in rock n roll, country, folk, blues...you name it. What has transpired from all of these episodes so far is a beautiful catalog of knowledge. You will not find a better duo of hosts who are charismatic about their topics and love of music. I adore this podcast.

Beth from DenverTo Her with LoveThis podcast about the women behind some of the most famous men and music in rock history is done with such warmth, love, and respect for the subject. Chanty and Lynx put so much research into each episode, telling a full yet appropriately condensed biography of the subject, sprinkling incredible anecdotes along the way. You can feel the admiration these women have for the sharp, strong women they feature; you can’t help but come away with the same fascination.

trisarat0pzAn absolute GIFTthis podcast is such a gift to women everywhere. Chanty & Lynx are so incredibly passionate & share their knowledge & love of the dolls for the world to enjoy. I thought I knew a lot before this podcast but they opened my eyes to so much more information that I ever knew. The story telling is incredible & everyone who loves music needs to listen to this podcast ASAP

msrosie4My favorite podcastIt’s like hanging out with 2 awesome friends. I love how supportive and uplifting you are to each other. I may go broke trying to get my hands on all the books from the stories you tell. Favorite episodes so far Dolly Parton, Barbara Barnes Sims, Rita and Bob, Tara Browne, Heart , and of course Patty Boyd and anything about Miss P. Bonus The Sun Studio session. Thank you so much for helping me survive the pandemic. Love you Dolls

Dawnb70I really wanted to like this....What is it with the droll, raspy, valley accents that is so popular among today’s female youth? I cannot get past it. Plus, it just seems to be lazily slapped together. Major disappointment.
-
bigsexyboogieLOVED the Carly Simon episode!Keep up the excellent work!
-
haleymellI can’t get enough!I’ve been listening for over 6 months now and I have to say I love everything they bring to the table. I enjoy listening to all the stories about women in music. dianedetroitNot for meI listen to a lot of music podcasts. I can’t get into these chicks. I don’t like their voices, kind of Valley Girlish. They don’t ask the questions I would like the answers to. It’s not for me.
-
MjjaaskaJust now happened upon thisI can’t believe I didn’t find this until now. THIS IS MY LIFE! I’ve always been fascinated by muses and this is the best idea for a podcast! I’m amazed they have this many episodes! Their voices are so soothing I want to fall asleep to them but the content is so interesting I have to be alert. Spot on, verrry well researched, editing could be a bit better- but couldn’t we all? HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
-
LrigyttiwIrritating!Tell us something we don’t already know. Regurgitation of the same tired trivia.
-
ToastedCheeserMusesThe idea is good but the hosts are really only reading from other material and not really digging into the material. Which I think will make the podcast limited because it’s the same thing over and over. On the Hardy podcast they mentioned Hardy’s mother couldn’t sleep overnight with a man because it was in the book but then they skip right over it! That’s a perfect time to delve deep and explore and see if the same traits parlayed into Hardy’s psyche later. I can read for myself. A podcast should give us more. It would be great to really hear deeper studies of these women that they are covering.
-
L!stnerPassion for what they do.It shows the hosts really care about the subject they are talking about. They have some great interviews with interesting people. The podcast is not perfect, but it seems to get better the more episodes they do.
-
AndybrewsterRambling mess22 minutes into an episode before they even get to the topic. Ridiculous.
-
SanSanSanSanSanSanSanSanYasssAs a music and fashion lover, this podcast hit the spot for me because it exposes me to interesting and stylish women that influences or being the driving forces of a lot of the bands and musicians. Poison Ivy episode got me here since Im a huge Cramps fan and she is truly a fascinating woman and her relationship with Lux Interior is properly the most romantic and beautiful relationship in music biz.
-
The dank meme master of memesExcellent interviews and storiesIs it weird I feel like they are my friends? The podcast is excellent with lots of juicy details and stories. If you are a fan of music and rock and roll you will love this podcast!
-
PodWalker50Cambridge and Harvard are in New York?I LOL’d when talking about Harvard, one host asks the other, “Where is Cambridge again?;” and the narrating host definitively answers, “Its in New York — its not Manhattan; it’s like Connecticut suburb.” If you love the sound of vocal fry delivered by nitwits, this is the podcast for you!
-
The TinMan#1Sex, drug and rock n roll never sounds so good!I cannot get enough details of the history of rock n roll and I think it's fair to say the women, both on the stage and behind it, just don't get enough love. Yet have no fear, Chanty and her friends go deep, under the covers with the down and dirty details to expose forgotten names and times that need to be brought into the light! It might get steamy, but isn’t that a part of the gig and a piece of why we love this music and those times?? I love to hear these ladies tell it and you should too!
-
skymagpieA great podcast for music lovers! These ladies cover a side of music we don't get to see enough of- the people hanging around the musicians. They give us an insight rarely heard and stories we might not know otherwise. Do yourself a favor and get it in your podcast rotation now!
-
