AVSCNHMotivation & Inspiration Through DisruptionI just listened to the interview with Betty Lu of Confetti Snacks. I was energized and enthused with the wisdom shared. This was made possible by the insightful questions posed by Whitney. This is my 3rd time listening and I love this show; so creative and encouraging. Oh BTW, right after listening, I went to Amazon to ensure I could order them.

Colleen Moriarty RyanA must listen!I learned about Whitney and her work from the Elevate podcast with Robert Glazer and it has become an essential listen every week. If you want inspiration on how to continually improve yourself and your life, you will find that here. Whitney is an incredibly gifted interviewer. She does an amazing job of allowing the guest to showcase their work. She is committed to making each episode an opportunity for her listeners to learn and models this by wrapping each episode with her key takeaways. Highly recommend!

ScottOsmanSupports me to adapt, adjust and think differentDisrupt Yourself with Whitney Johnson is one of the most important podcasts I listen to each week. It is entertaining and informative and most importantly, it is a key moment in my week to think outside myself about a topic that I might not have considered. It helps me expand my thinking not only in the subject at hand, but in life in general. The disruption muscle is not one we get to exercise frequently; listening to Whitney’s podcast strengthens my ability to adapt, adjust and think differently and has introduced me to voices I would not have otherwise heard. Top 10 Podcast on my list for sure

Maureen BreezeMaureen BreezeI love these podcasts! Each one is packed with invaluable insights. The episode with Russ Wheeler offers a fascinating look at patterns for growth - specifically how after mastering a role, he would take on new positions that may have looked like a step back, but instead offered the learning opportunities to catapult him in new directions. I highly recommend listening to these interviews each week!

Tillsy WillsyThank you.Every week I invest in myself by listening to Disrupt Yourself. I’m so grateful for Whitney and her insights, guests who are interviewed and the wealth of knowledge they bring. This podcast has helped me to understand how I have prospered by disrupting myself. I share Disrupt yourself with everyone I meet. Thank you Whitney for your generosity, for giving so freely to individuals and community. I was at NAU recently for an ASID meeting with the Design Department and I shared one of your podcast with the leaders and they told me that you came and met with the students. Thank you for caring so much. You have truly enriched my life & I'm so grateful that I was able to come to know Disrupt Yourself.

tytiemaeIt ain’t over ’til it’s overThis podcast is changing my life. Currently, I am in a job that does not appreciate talent, but treats everyone the same. This model was detailed in the recent podcast with Roger Martin. As I watch other companies appreciate their employees with advancement, training, pay increases, and the like, the company I work for does nothing but pour on demands and raise expectations. The general attitude is, if you don't like it, you can leave, so why don't I? I just turned 60 and I'm single, that's why. I feel the reset for me has passed. Through listening to this podcast, however, I feel the puff of a second wind. Maybe I, too, can get on the S-curve and be propelled into something I truly enjoy and to who I truly want to be. I will continue to listen in the hopes of finding the path that shows me that my life isn't over but is waiting for me around the next bend.

Arnold HowardGreat!Whitney Johnson is a superb interviewer and one of the best deep listeners. Especially in today’s world, listening is as important as communicating. Whitney develops rapport with her guests, because she is interested in every one of them. She wants to learn from them. Her interview with Bob Proctor was more insightful than his own seminars. He would have agreed, with a laugh, if he were here to read my review. Her podcast of Tom Peters is probably the best podcast I’ve ever heard. That says a lot, because I’m a podcast junkie. I laughed through much of the podcast while listening through earbuds at the gym.

Ana Gabriel MannWhitney the Disrupter!!Wow, is all I can say. Listen to Whitney interview for 5 minutes and you understand why her podcast is so wildly successful. She is an amazingly insightful and thoughtful listener and draws the deepest "aha's" out of her guests. When someone can think on their feet with rapid speed and ask the question all the listeners are thinking, it's truly a gift. Make this podcast a regular listen and you will receive the gift of disruption on every level of your experience. Whitney is a master!

Women RiseA must for mid level leadersI listened regularly to Whitney’s podcast, as I love the S Curve of learning model. But on my morning walk as I was listening to Tuesday’s (8/17), I exclaimed holy crap, that’s it! (Neighbors raised eyebrows) This what’s holding women leaders back! These are what my coaching clients are struggling with. I rushed home and messaged all my mid level women leader clients the link to the podcast. In our sessions this week, we talk about what resonated with them. Whitney’s podcasts are though provoking, but with practical exercises, to apply to pushing yourself further. I use her closing remarks, when I end a coaching session. What was of value to you in this session? All of it!!

Grow Roots DeepInformative and InspiringI’ve enjoyed listening to Whitney’s podcast for awhile. She asks great questions and has a great rapport with guests. I always come away with something to ponder more deeply. (**Note for the producers: One suggestion is to reduce the volume level of the background music (or eliminate it) when speakers are talking. It’s made it more difficult to understand what is being said and a bit distracting in some of the podcasts lately #201, #205)
-
lifeinasmalltownInspirationalI love listening to Whitney’s skillful interviews. You can see that she is interested in people, ideas and the world. What an inspirational woman!

The Disrupt Yourself podcast is also integrated into Whitney’s bi-weekly LinkedIn Live sessions giving listeners a global community of like minded professionals to interact with as well as with Whitney herself. Whitney and WLJ team’s attention to detail is incredible and screams authenticity that is so rare when thought leaders are this successful!

Traceability123Favorite PodcastWhitney's podcast is great and so insightful. Recent episodes that have resonated with me were with Dr. Mary Gray, and with Livingston Taylor, and taught me I need to get better about really seeing people, and being my best self for them. Kudos to Whitney and team!

heathernicole765Future SelfGreat episode with Dr Hardy. Looking forward to being a person of influence to inspire growth, purpose, and development. In three years I am going to have a thriving business that requires less time than my current job and makes 3 times as much.

ShoreURZMaking sense of business behaviorsThe Disrupt Yourself podcast offers just what busy people need: interviews with a curated series of business and behavioral thinkers, scholars and practitioners to help us make sense of it all. Whitney’s accessible interview approach - she comes to each podcast as a learner with deep curiosity for the subject - delivers answers to the questions we would ask had we read the guest’s book and prepared as Whitney does. The result is an oft-quoted business podcast you should save to favorites.
-
Yoyokw1025Best of bothWhitney offers the best of podcasts by combining learning and practical application. It’s a listen that’s always worth the time!

rocknboomerCreating amid ConstraintsThis episode blew me away! Whitney is famous for asking interview questions that really matter...giving the listener deep insights, not just a bunch of ‘how to’s’ and check lists. And her interview with Molly Beck was a stellar example! Molly is the poster child of creating her way out of constraints. I was moved to tears when she told how she forces herself to sprint on a treadmill every night at 6, to help her focus on, and celebrate how hard she consistently tries, which helps her to battle her way through criticism and setbacks. PURE MOTIVATION! I’m so proud of women like Whitney and Molly! Thank you!
-
_chelseaanneThe Molly Beck is a must listen for every CreatorGiveaway aside, this was the episode that motivated me to finally review this podcast. I’ve become a fan of Whitney and how she brings m extremely successful guests onto her show and they stay relatable and their advice is reachable to someone just starting the entrepreneur life. I’ve been stuck in launching a podcast for months (have had the equipment and everything) but just can’t find the courage to record and publish. Hearing that now is the time to start because time is running out for new podcasts is a huge motivation to stop procrastinating. How Molly describes an ideal podcast is 100% doable and follows the same pattern of my current favorite podcasts👏🏻 Hearing what I already know confirms its truth!

learn it all kevinMolly Beck and Dr. Benjamin HardyI originally was introduced to Whitney just over a year ago through the Innovation Ecosystem podcast. That’s when I really started my journey to look critically at myself and my career. I’m fortunate that Whitney’s interview and perspective jumped off the page to me. In fact, she was the only person I started to follow and I’m so thankful I did. She walks-the-walk, is thought provoking and consistently develops content. Today I was catching up on a couple of episodes and listened to Dr. Benjamin Hardy and Molly Beck. What I treasure is that Whitney asks questions with action in mind. Through that lens, she also asks her audience to actionable leave reviews. Sure, there are some promotional give aways which will offer deeper learnings, but I’d argue that it could be more impactful for the reviewers that they are actioning in writing their reviews. How cool is it that a review may be their tipping point to seriously improving? This brings me to who my future self is. I’m wiser, more empathetic, disciplined with urgency, patient in understanding, and self-forgiving. I’m aspirational and I have high expectations of myself. So, that can often translate into being tough on myself and thinking that I should be further ahead. P.S. I sing Disrupt Yourself in song form via Charles Wright’s Express Yourself. Am I the only one?

Very Avid ReaderMolly BeckI heard Whitney Johnson speaking on another podcast which led me here and I am so glad it did! The episode with Molly Beck was absolutely inspiring and has given me so many ideas about how I can be more innovative in my own life, especially in the field of podcasting. Everyone who feels stuck in any part of their life, should check out this episode for ideas!
-
susan_coachIn my top 3Whitney is such a skilled interviewer and coach - I learn more from her questions and connections than the guests. I especially enjoyed her I interview with Molly Beck. Molly generously shared tips and feedback in such an approachable way... I have always wanted to have a podcast - to share my thoughts and learnings but it always seems such a big endeavor. But not anymore!
-
ANomad100Interesting and ChallengingInterview with Benjamin Hardy invites us to call ourselves from our future selves: for me, a compassionate listener who finds a way where there is no (obvious) way by being fully present to emerging possibilities. Loved the sense of possibility offered by this conversation.
-
Tsky7171Dr. Benjamin HardyI just listened to this episode today so I may be too late for the contest but I really enjoyed your conversation with Ben. I learned a lot. I also want to support Ben’s goal to sell millions of copies of this book. From my understanding & to create accountability for myself in speaking of my future self I need to redefine my boundaries (which have never been good in relationship to my own health) the idea that my commitment to myself is about my present self & not my future self was very interesting. I will get the book & start journaling to create the future self I want to be—especially 45 pounds lighter). 😉
