It's alright; I'm a doctor.Needs planning, discipline, and editingThe best podcasts do not sound like people having a slow impromptu conversation on a long bus ride. But that’s the vibe in this one.

Austin NowlinI um Wish um I uhh Could umm uhh Listen To umm uhh This ShowThe number of times “um” and “uh” are used by the host has made the show unlistenable. It keeps getting worse.

TClynch62DeletedWow, a Kaiju podcast that is negative about projects that haven’t been released yet (as of 8/01/2023). Lots of negativity and low energy. Gets one star for the intro theme. I ed it and deleted it so you wouldn’t have to.

burnout_lukeMy favorite kaiju podcastAnd that’s counting mine. These guys are amazing.

rickoshea17Great podcast for kaju fans.Searching for kaju podcasts is always a hit and miss chore. These two have made my daily commute a joy. Not only giant monster talk but also great horror movie talk as well. These two will make your day.

jellydonut25The best kaiju podcast out there. Period.Kaiju Transmissions is the only kaiju podcast out there willing to expand its scope beyond the cliched and over-trodden films and franchises like Godzilla and Gamera and Kong. They certainly cover those as well, but if you want to learn more about the slightly more obscure side of the genre, or the directors who have contributed to it, or the people currently trying to keep the genre alive, you will find no better place to listen and learn. Episodes can run a smidge long and audio quality can be inconsistent, but for people who want just a little bit…more than “I like Godzilla, smash punch” this is the best place to find a fair and balanced AND COMPREHENSIVE rundown of such things.

Ultraman X 'Gon Give It To YaI mean, it’s the best Godzilla.......Anime trilogy-Stan podcast out there. The only thing they love more than Oscar-winning City on the Edge of Battle is Gamera and the Spacewomen (1980).

WarguyflimsHands one of my favorite podcasts! This is by far the best podcast on Japanese sci fi fantasy, horror, and kaiju out there!
-
Joey Palinkas!!!Highly recommend!!!I love these guys, I often find myself eager for each episode release, the quintessential Kaiju related podcast. Originally from “If it bleeds, we can kill it” podcast.

Nate "Big Red" MarchandEntertaining if informalIf you’re looking for a podcast about a pair of fans shooting the breeze about all things kaiju, this is the show for you. They often cover entire film series in a single episode, which can be a lot to digest. They also hand some great interviews with prominent actors or figures in the fandom. It’s a very casual ‘cast, but it gets better as it goes.

yojimbo65Fun & InformativeThis is one of my favorite podcasts. I have yet to hear a bad episode. Byrd and Matt offer a conversational approach to the subject of Kaiju films, but still cover a lot of ground. Their guests are both knowledgeable and engaging (looking at you, Mr. LeMay). Several of the episodes have triggered my curiosity, whether that is a film or tv show I hadn’t seen, or a book I had not yet read. I would have never gone looking for Zone Fighter, or considered Legend Of Dinosaur And Monster Birds, if not for their episodes focusing on each of them. All in all, Kaiju Transmissions is an enjoyable, informative experience. Check it out!

Gladiator of KaonA+Great podcast!
-
Poi Dog MongoNot the best, but pretty good.Microphone quality is consistently good. Occasionally, they have an episode that falls short and annoys. In spite of those episodes, they’re a good podcast. Definitely mix this with a few other monster themed podcasts to get a satisfying playlist.
-
cichlidjediBest Kaju Movie Breakdowns!Byrd and Matt have great chemistry and work great together. I love there reviews and movie descriptions and they crack me up!!!! I agree with most of their reviews and one of my favorite podcasts!!! Keep up the great content!!!!

Deadpool51Awesome.Full disclosure I have been on the show. I love listening to the shows. Honest opinions are very welcoming. They nail the tone and feelings. Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to come back on.
-
Lawrence73They actually know what they are talking about.Well, give or take a wrong monster name and wrong movie date here and there I’d say these guys are on point most of the time. Their observations are hilarious sometimes.Over all they are a joy to listen to.

JojosalisburyFun and full of knowledgeAs an on again off again kaiju fan - I came across this podcast and found I quite enjoy it. The hosts keep things moving, fun, and knowledgable. Unlike other podcasts, I am glad they keep the obscenities to a minimum. These guys are about 20 years younger than I, but seem to enjoy kaiju films for the same reasons - that sense of nostalgia of encountering this bizarre art form as a young kid.

Orus1968Highly informative and enjoyable podcast for all things Kaiju and relatedDiscovered this podcast a few weeks ago. I like the fact that both hosts are knowledgable about cinema and film production in general and apply this to the kaiju and related genre of films they review with enthusiasm as well as critical eyes and sensibilities. A fresh podcast in the growing field of podcast in a similar vein. Great job bird and Matt.

Klaus' cousinEntertaining & informativeI came across this podcast through Kaijucast & really enjoyed listening to some older episodes. Loved the in depth two parter with Norman England. If you like listening to other shows like Kaijucast or even Monster Kid Radio I'd give this podcast a shot. It's entertaining stuff for the obscure & esoteric movie lover.
-
MrBerfAwesome! These guys are fun and well informed. Great discussion about the main Godzilla series plus some very cool diversions into related stuff like Toho's Dracula flicks and Japanese Star Wars knock-offs. Awesome show!
-
Dinnerandapodcast GroupieGood listenGreat show and u have gained a new fan. Keep up the good work

Blue Collared GameraMy Favorite Kaiju PodcastThis podcast makes for a perfect pairing with Kaijucast, they're different enough that you can listen to both and still feel as if you're not getting recycled material. This podcast has a sort of low-key and laid back style that is couple with smart and insightful coverage of films and television shows from the tokusatsu genre. If you love kaiju or Japanese live action special effects this is a must subscribe podcast for you.

P@rick From SouthieWell Informed HostsHi Guys, I waited till your second show was released to review and i am pleasantly surprised. great show. you seem to know your kaiju history from charachters, music, and kaiju. Also, a big thumbs up for not mangling the Japanese names. I like your approach of a Godzilla Recap approach to quickly review the movies before doing an indepth review. Keep it up P@rick from Southie
