Absolutely love this podcast ( when it’s on and has been updated) have been a follower for years and this was part of my weekly routine was to listen to Pastor Matt as I was commuting and it became a conversation piece with my older teenage children. Love the content and the message, Pastor Matt has taught me HOW to be a Christian not just a believer. Only disappointment is that the schedule isn’t consistent.

Every time I remember to listen to this podcast, I have been so grateful. Thank you for talking about difficult topics and opening those discussions. I’m wondering if this review spot is the appropriate place to ask a question or if there is another place? Thanks again!

Pastor Matt brings great answers to tough questions and really brings a balance to hot button theological issues where most people run to extremes. Love the show, love you guys, keep doing what you are doing. You guys are making an impact on people’s lives and helping people such as myself find healing in my marriage, personal life, and in even ministering through others after listening to content from the debrief. Thank you so much you guys keep doing a phenomenal job. Got a suggestion. Die hard follower here, if you aren’t going to post an episode the week of for whatever reason, could you please let your subscribers know so we don’t incessantly hit refresh on the shows feed hoping for an episode that will never show? Update May 2024 went from 5 to 3 stars. As a subscriber I’m disappointed with the lack of communication and consistency with the listeners . I’m tired of waiting to know each week or two or three or four. Why not make it eight, if an episode is coming. I’ve been a listener since day 1. What is up with the podcast is it over? No announcements and then Keep us waiting for months . Come on you want the show to succeed and reach more people right?

This podcast fills in all the blanks For the questions I have. It does a great job explaining questions I didn’t know that I had yet. Pastor Matt give real explanations. Thank you Lord for providing this to the world. Amen!

I learn so much from Pastor Brown and from this podcast! I appreciate the thoughtfulness of all the answers to questions, and how difficult questions are not given cliche answers but discussed with nuance and compassion.

I found this podcast from Tom Hughes podcast and I really resonate with what is spoken here. Specifically, I appreciate that you touch on the topic of women pastors and would love more because I left the church over blatant sexism. I’ve had pastors who only talk to my husband and completely ignore me, and yet they claim to be my spiritual leader? I don’t buy it. I think the women topic is way too often ignored in the church and it causes more women to leave it because they feel unseen and unheard. I speak from experience as someone who left the church over this issue (I’m still searching for a church) and as someone who has female friends who have gone into Wicca because of the failure of the church to address sexism and what biblical gender roles actually look like.

I’m a pastor’s kid and grew up around and in Church. But my faith has fluctuated all my life. I was headed on a trend away from Jesus, but you helped me back on the upward trend back to Jesus.

So glad to hear Pastor Matt on the debrief and enjoy this awesome podcast again! Thanks for sharing about Thomas Sowell, for those that have not heard of him before should definitely look him up. one minor note his last name is pronounced “Soul” not “Sowl” 😅

You don’t always have to agree. Just listen to the totality of the message. For me it has been a blessing. I believe saved my life and soul. I am the happiest I ever been and I know because of tools like this I can help live for the Lord.

First off, Thank You so much for doing all that you do to reach the lost. That was me in Feb ‘19, lost and broken in Brazil on a trip for work. The previous week, I was at a Women’s retreat with my church where we learned about the Enneagram. Being a self absorbed 4, I turned to the internet to learn more about myself and this thing that I have been missing. I found your sermons on YouTube. WOW! I haven’t stopped watching since and I listen over & over to all the podcasts. Later that month, after the Beyond Happy Father’s Day sermon. I gave my life to Christ. This is what I have been missing and longing for.... an authentic relationship with God. ( BTW, I miss Justin sometimes too.) Thanks again PMB!

It’s a way to dig deeper into the sermons and the Bible. It’s like a personal Bible study. I can take notes or just listen ! Better then TV ! I also appreciate that when I have a question I can send it in. Even if my question is not picked, it seems like some people have the same questions. It’s nice to know I’m not alone in depression , anxiety and hurt. It gives me hope that as I become real with myself , I am able to share my heart with others , and that helps me connect with God. I wish I had this when I was a young mom. Starting from Episode 0, I listen to at least 1 each night. On Episode 100 now. I have noticed you do not wavier because you will repeat the same thing and not “change your ideas” based on the weather . Thanks again ! Pls don’t stop sharing ... I never thought I’d be like one of my religious catholic friends that literally take vacations to visit Churches all Over the world ... I want to visit the west coast JUST to spend a day at Sandals!!!!

I went back and started from the beginning and can’t wait until they start up again on the weekly! Sandals Church and MSF group has guided me straight to Jesus. I have been able to turn my life around and truly put my faith and trust into Jesus Christ. Sunday service, the debriefs, and my men’s group are the fuel I need in my life. I love every part of Sandals Church!

Stumbled upon this podcast by happenstance in my journey to rediscovering God and listening closely to the Holy Spirit. The words spoken on the podcast are part of my “soul care” at night, and even help center me before my workday as a teacher. I’m humbled by the messages and can honestly say that my mindset and relationship with God have been transformed for the better.

Going back and listening to all of these episodes from Luke and Acts. Love listening to these guys on the way to work every day.

I started attending Sandals Church in 2018 and I love going back and listening to these Debrief shows! I am learning about God and getting answers to so many of my questions. Paster Matt and his team are AWESOME!!!

I love this podcast. I wish that that they did a podcast every day. I love hearing the wisdom concerning important topics currently going on. PMB and the crew make it known just how relevant the Bible is still and I appreciate that I am able to ask them questions directly. Thank you for all you do guys, I love you!

Can’t go on my work commute without The Debrief. I’ve learned soooo much from this podcast that adds to my understanding of the sermons. Amazing!!

I have to be honest, I’m a mom of 4 little ones, we have our own business, we homeschool and I really try to put god first daily. Listening to the debrief while I drive can be a great way to add thought provoking time on what we learned at church. I have to also be honest that sometimes the only adult I see and talk to in a day is the mailman. To connect in this way helps me not to go too crazy also, nick jr can get pretty mind numbing after a while. Keep up the thought provoking dialogue.

This podcast changed my life and my fiancé’s. Listening to this podcast together has challenged us and grown us closer to God and together as a couple. I love that Matt addresses real hard questions and isn’t afraid to Speak truth. One of our favorite series of episodes is on the enneagram. It made us reflect on the sin in our own lives and how it effects our relationship with others. Truly facing and looking at that gunk (that stuff you’ve been ignoring but know it’s there) in our hearts and how to allow God to step in and change it God I ask you protect Matt and Sandals Church so you may continue to speak through them and your wisdom and Word can be heard!!

Less comedy would be great. The important stuff is overshadowed by the flippant guy trying to be funny.

It is a great tool for unbelievers and believers alike. PMB, PRD and Super sport Schaffer along with all of their guests make the Bible more understandable, and relatable. Sometimes the sermons are awesome, sometimes I don’t think much of them ... then, I go face-to-face with the DeBrief. Driving home learning objectives, missed but obvious points, speaking to my soul, teaching and growing my spirit and my walk. Growth can be painful. I rejoice in the discomfort. Thank you, Family.

My wife got me into watching sandals on line since we are from the inland empire and I am in the military now, one of the best pastors and speakers and I’ve started from the beginning and everyday at least 2 a day has really started to change my life and bring me closer to god I just want to thank all of you for what you do I love you

The PMB has changed my family's life in so many positive ways. I love he followed his calling, overcame the struggles, and formed Sandals Church. If it wasn't for PMB I wouldn't have a relationship with Jesus. The debrief team is awesome and so wise. Love this church. I drive much further to Sandals then my previous church (Harvest) because they are real and it helps me much more to deal with the FACT that I am a sinner and I need God every hour.
