I’ve loved the bad broad, but unfortunately it’s not giving the same fun energy it used to, a little too much aggressively complaining and not enough fun topics

I used to love this podcast and the listener submitted topics but recently it’s just been her talking about boring things and being so aggressive about certain topics, I feel like she’s yelling at us haha. Not a super fun listen anymore, I wish she’d go back to the old format.

Maddie Listening to your advice n thought it was well balanced n apropos. There was however one Mom who had an issue with husband not helping much even though they both work. One item to ask Mom’s are we very nit-picky in how things are done or not done to perfection? If that’s the case then husbands/ partners may not be willing to help out. They may be forever criticized or ridiculed. Mom’s may have to be specific only when there’s safety involved If they are picky about every procedure or activity- nobody wants to pitch in. Parents of the couple may not want to help out either. We have to hear the other side of the story….

It’s also interesting to me because I live in Missouri and have zero knowledge of Mormonism/LDS so every time she explains those cultural things I’m like whoa, news to me lol. I’ve been listening to Madi since she launched the podcast back in 2020. Back when the chick flick brackets were the focus of Covid and she did watch parties on zoom! I randomly met her in SL in 2024, and she was genuinely so kind and great to talk to. That being said, I’ve literally been listening to her for five years—through all of her ✨eras✨—and I couldn’t be prouder of who she is and how she continues to evolve. From what she’s shared, she’s been through some pretty big life changes, yet she still manages to make me laugh and keeps bringing fresh, engaging topics to the podcast. Honestly, I’m shocked at how some people feel the need to tear down a woman who is thriving—both personally and professionally—through sheer hard work. Let her live! No need to announce your exit. If you love easy-to-listen-to podcasts, The Bad Broadcast is an amazing choice!

Used to be an avid listener but I feel like the focus has totally shifted. It’s now a lot of lifestyle, influencing, wellness type material which is fine but just not for me or what this podcast originally was. I feel like Madi really shined with the goofy not so serious topics, listener stories, and random nostalgic deep dives and the new stuff is just bland in my opinion.

I just discovered this podcast and I have been binge listening episodes. Such a fun and easy listen for when you’re in the car, cleaning the house or on a walk! So happy I found a new podcast to listen to!

I love this podcast. Madi is just so fully herself and she brings that to this pod. I originally came for the story submission episodes but stayed bc Madi always keeps this podcast fresh, interesting and most importantly, true to her and who she is. I was worried that this would become yet another mommy blogger platform but Madi has managed to balance the line of telling us about her ups and downs of becoming a mom while not losing her entire personality to being one. I noticed that some LDS folks (who probably aren’t even listeners bc Madi has been clear for YEARS that she no longer identifies with that faith) took to Madi’s ratings after she hosted her friend and fellow podcaster Hayley. Not cool, not a good witness (assuming you actually care about that) and also not appropriate: Madi is allowed to believe what she does, and platform the people she choose. Listen, and maybe learn something, or skip it and don’t, but don’t take it out on her ratings. I’m not LDS but follow and listen to plenty of LDS women’s content. When they mention their faith I don’t cancel or downrate them because it’s different from mine. I wish the LDS women could afford non Mormons the same respect.

Like we’re chatting about all of the most pressing issues from pop culture to bad dates to weird families, and Madi is so funny and witty and entertaining, I don’t even realize I’m not part of the convo. Highlight of my mondays!

Madi describes things in my favorite way — like a lifelong friend and with the best sense of humor. This podcast is so easy to listen to no matter what I’m doing, and I look forward to Mondays!

Hard to find a lifestyle/pop culture podcast as good as The Bad Broadcast. Always funny and relatable, it’s more effective than my Lexapro. Never leave us, Madi.

Madi is so fun to listen to! Each topic of her podcast is new and exciting and the dialogue she gives is hilarious! I have a headphone in one ear all day at work and I just let the episodes play one after the other. If you want to feel like you’re at a sleepover giggling with your girl friends again Madi will deliver :) The show ranges from different topics spanning girlhood, motherhood, health, with listener submission segments. This is my #1 go to podcast! 🫶

I used to love this podcast- interesting premise, fresh takes, genuinely interesting. Now the podcast is boring- another utah girl making motherhood her ONLY personality trait. I took a listening break to see if it was just me and the sparkle would return after time (absence makes the heart fonder and all) but turned off all the new episodes in the first 15 minutes. Sorry girl- your new merch is cute though!

I loved the podcast for years, but this latest episode (w/Haley from the Girls Camp pod) made it pretty clear that she doesn’t hold a lot of respect for Mormon women, and the way they spoke about us (so black and white, not knowing we can have choices, etc) made me sad. There’s room for all kinds of people in the world—but not, I think, in this podcast.

i’m new to the podcast club & The Bad Broadcast was the first one recommended to me. i’ve abandoned my morning music on my commute to laugh with Madi as much as i can.

This is the coldest take on earth but Madi, you’re literally SO good at podcasting. Since listening to your podcast I’ve started listening to others similar and while they’re great, none of them are nearly as entertaining and funny as yours. And you do it all by yourself?! Girl. Also so excited for Bood broadcast but consider this my vote for just 1 scary story episode. I love the socially scary episode from a while back bc I could still sleep at night lol! More of those pls!

Madi has become the Amazon dupe of every other content creator/podcaster girlie. There was a time when The Bad Broadcast gave us permission to eyeroll the trends defining what’s cool, hot, or aspirational for women in online culture. But after Madi got her first slicked-back bun and a lifting routine, we’re getting WIEIAD posts, weight loss check-ins, gushes about Sabrina Carpenter like she’s a new discovery, and privileged mom content on overdrive with a hearty dose of capitalistic clean beauty nonsense. I do understand that calling out basic girlies could look like pick-me energy, but wow. The podcast and her presence now are not only boring, they’re part of the same old oppressive and narrow messaging for women and girls that you see everywhere else: Be a mom! Buy stuff! And of course, lose weight! Yuck and yawn. It turns out, Madi was never a dissenter. She’s always been a follower at heart.

I’m just gonna be 100% honest on here! I’m a republican, Christian, and I love trump. And guess what, I love Madi Murphy and the bad broadcast. I’m just here to say that this is a podcast that is funny, kind, and lighthearted. Obviously she has her own opinions just like everyone does, but she shares them in a way where you know she is genuine, kind, and just believes in what she feels is right, just like we all do. If you disagree with me you might just need to work on not being offended so easily by other people’s opinions.. I also feel like every woman can agree on empowering women and mothers empowering mothers. And Madi Murphy has made me feel so heard and loved as a young mother!!! Thank you Madi!! Funny jokes aren’t funny unless they are coming from Madi. I seriously will not listen to another podcast again! I’ve been listening for years and this is my forever podcast!
