    Only Commercials
From being a phenomenal must listen to podcasts to pure weird commercials? I have kept it on my list to see if they finally would come back but nothing. Don’t even give it a try anymore!

Great show, but you lost me
This show is great. However, you are the company you keep. Any connection to a blatant racist like Ibram X Kendi is too much for me. Just because you say you’re “anti” doesn’t make it less racist.

    Second episode I’m listening too.
So far I like it. Hitler suffered from Parkinson’s disease.

    History changing in your ears
Sad to see more and more historians changing their tune to abide by the cancel culture. Ever since the Civil War it’s always been a Democrat that’ suppressed rights.

    Really great at first...
Loved these when they first came out. I have listened to all of them to date, but have found that these stories continue to choose heroes and villains (historians should seek to be a little more objective...), leave out important details, and pick sides in political grey areas. I will not be listening anymore.

Do you know how you are being used?
Are you seriously celebrating the Portland riots!?! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed “Flashback,” yet feel used. Do you vet the promos to your subscribers before they are pushed out and rattle many of us? I feel gullible and resent being blasted with promo in support of senseless Portland riots. In pushing this kind of propaganda, you’ve broken our podcast/subscriber relationship that I actively enjoyed. Please consider how your listener base is being used by your corporate partners. Many of us carefully curate the media we read, listen to and watch. I’ve gone dark on all media with even a sniff of bias. It’s appalling and galling your promo seeped through.

    Absolutely Fantastic!
Sean Braswell has a great voice for hosting this very interesting podcast. I truly enjoy all the thread connections. I’ve listened to them all! I’m ready for the next season. When are you returning for the new season? I’m going crazy without a good podcast to follow!!!

    Fascinating
I’ve learned some fascinating things from this podcast, particularly the one about Henry Ford and the one about Hitler.

    Distractions
I agree that the ads are inappropriately placed and frustrating. The host’s excessive mouth noises distract me to the point I cannot listen too frequently The stories are, however, fascinating

Enjoy the show, have to disagree with a tiny bit of research
I’ve been enjoying the podcast but I think there may be something wrong with the Grace Kelly piece. The Hotel DuPont has long been known as the location of Prince Rainier’s proposal to Grace Kelly, not in NY Central Park. I’d love to know the truth!

    Really interesting
So far I have only picked and chosen the episodes, but I have enjoyed the three that I have listened to so much that I have now subscribed. Fascinating stuff.

    Loved it
Loved the ones about the cigarettes and Hitler doctor.
  • i dont like antisemites
    Was really good at first😔
I enjoyed the detailed history of the first few episodes and thought this was a really cool podcast but as the episodes progressed there were more and more allusions to leftist politics. The point where you were praising a book hailed by Jeremy Corbin (like the vicious antisemite Jeremy Corbin) ... 🤢🤮

This podcast is great! People that complain about commercial are the same people that complain about everything else. People gotta make a living!

Hate the ads about romance love the podcast
hard to listen when I am hit with the romance podcast ads every 5 minutes. Kyle seems like a great guy but I am not happy about whatever that crappy podcast is supposed to be... When the actual podcast is on, I think it is amazing and really enjoy the insights and connections through history.

I love you podcasts. Listen to them during my walks. Learn lots of history that I did not know because I am an immigrant

    Informative
Being a history junkie, these pods have been food for my soul. Knowing “the rest of the story” and the story within the story is very refreshing. Also during DoC (Days of Covid) it has been a great outlet

    Simply engaging!
No fancy voices or other add-ons needed. Just fascinating stories from history told very well.

    Too many commercials
This podcast has far too many commercials. There are many other podcasts with equal or better content without the incessant pitches. And the dialogue is too sophomoric. Who says “what did we learn this week” in an adult podcast? I’m done.

    FB 103: AC/DC
Am finding the episodes informative, enjoyable, and worthwhile. Just wish the facts about life before AC had included mention of the interim cooling system, i.e. evaporative cooling. It’s not as if residents in Phoenix, for instance, went from nothing to air conditioning, from complete misery to complete comfort. When the humidity was low during hot days, the cooler, as it was commonly known, comforted us quite nicely. It was when the summer’s high humidity set in and combined with the high temperatures that the cooler became useless and we were all miserable. For those days, air conditioning was, and is, a boon in the desert.

    The planting of male trees.
Look into the unintentional consequences of planting male only trees in cities and towns in parks and along streets. What planners had hope and what really happened. This podcast in fascinating.

    Intriguing!
I’m a newer listener to podcast, and a huge history freak. I love knowing little facts about how we got to where we are today. This show lays out history in a way that is easy to follow and also includes details that are interesting to know. Probably my favorite podcast about predated events!
