GokhulMan, Jay doesn’t know what he is talking aboutSo I listened to the latest episode the ranking of all the rpgs Jay and Rob played and leave it to jay to not understand the assignment. So far put 2 action games on his list and a game he didn’t play. If you were wondering the games were God of War, Lord of the Rings Return of the King and Elden Ring ( which was the game he didn’t play). I’ve listened to you guys for a while but at this point I think I’m going to stop as long as Jay is on the podcast. Robert your doing good just please get a new co host that knows what he is talking about. At this point I would be surprised if he didn’t think Grand Turismo is a rpg.

GrabMyBoomstickHas to get woke & ruin ifThis could have been a fun, little retro video game podcast, but the hosts had to make the same mistake as other shows like Retronauts. They just can’t help themselves apparently in feeling the need to inject their political/social opinions into a show that should be focused on…wait for it…VIDEO GAMES. Episode 184 specifically is where I finally had enough and had to stop listening, once the two host decided to go on a rant about Elon Musk, taxes, etc. Aside from that, their video game knowledge doesn’t even seem to be that great. There are much better options out there for fans of classic, retro games than having to listen to these two ignorant, woketards.

Always Trying To Lose WeightGoodVery funny and informative played games I never would if I had not listened

retroScottBest retro gaming podcastHave been listening for years and still love hanging out with these guys! My go to podcast for long drives when I want some retro talk and laughs.
-
mike wulfeConstant gulping/swallowingHearing the constant gulping and swallowing really grossed me out and distracted me from what was a fairly interesting conversation.
-
YazarcYikes……There’s a lot of blatantly wrong information on this podcast. Like actual facts, even about games they have allegedly just played.

UltimoprobeSo disrespectful to listenerEw! Someone was eating right into the microphone so gross nobody wants to hear that. I was so excited to find a podcast about one of my favorite subjects. Was disappointed I had to turn it off because of the awful noises.

gamer_unoGreat and girthyVery much enjoy hearing these guys go through classic games each episode! Lots of knowledge, positive vibes, and good times. Highly recommended for retro gaming nerds! The episodes are every few weeks but long enough to give you something to chew on while you wait for the next.

Novacain1435Best of the bestI’m a new listener and I am actually starting from episode 1 in the year 2020, that’s how much am enjoying the podcast. Top 3 songs from a video game? Mine are sheik’s theme from ocarina of time. Tristram from Diablo 1 and the title screen from mega man 2. Funny stuff please keep it up!

Travis1198Casual, but informed game discussion.Great podcast with a casual feel talking about classic gaming on both console and pc. Not overly specialized and good guests.
-
theberlindoctoractually, like, no, seriouslyall of the adderall fueled babbling nonsense about unremembered games you could possibly want. five stars.

TChan GamesClassicImmediately listened to episode 131 because I loved Majora’s Mask. They gave a great summary on why it’s so dark and different from other Zelda games. They need to release the remake for the Switch so I can play it. This is also a good podcast to get updates on what’s happening in the gaming world. Crazy how people buy bath water or pay hundreds of dollars just to chat lol.

Goove24My new favorite podcastI stumbled across the Class Games Cast a few months ago and all my other podcasts are now months behind. I first went back through the library and found some of my favorite games in the titles and listened to those. Then, I started from the beginning and started listening to the whole library, despite the warning about the first few episodes. Robert and Jay have a great rapport and sound like friends should sound. I’ve been taking their advice on some games they enjoyed, and I don’t always agree with them, but I can see where they’re coming from. I can’t recommend this show enough. Give it a listen, you won’t be sorry.

JygraphicdLater was better?Like most people who found this podcast, I have a lot nostalgic feelings for the games I played on various game systems between 1985 and 1995. By the title I was hoping for a podcast from people who appreciate old games, but instead they spent the 30 mins that they actually talked about the game ragging on why it sucked compared to similar games of the genre that came many years later. Of course games that came later are better, why wouldn’t they be? These guys clearly know games and gaming so I was very surprised to not get any fun factoids about how some of my favorite old games were done on a shoe-string budget or innovated a new style of game play that later games could expand upon. Instead they just mean-girled these classic games like 15 year olds on a school bus with no regard for how impressive certain features of the games would have been at the time they were released or that most the game story would have been in the user manual not the intro to the game. Ragging on something doesn’t make you cool or edgy. It’s easy to find fault. How about you do some research and fill your time with positive information and fun factoids for actual classic game fans. Like I said, these guys clearly know games so why all the negative for the content of your own podcast? I mean honestly if you have so many bad things to say about classic games then maybe you should have started a “Fortnite” podcast instead.

Jake with a rakeInteresting selectionNot terrible. This is a good cast to hear about some random games. The hosts are mostly relatable, seem like good dudes. Definitely fun if you participate with the lists and game of the quarter. Only major complaint, it does often drag on. They read every email and provide narrative on each, and it’s just too much. The first hour of the show is pert great; if you shut it off there you would not miss much. I wish they’d keep the email portion around an hour as opposed to the two hour plus segment it often drudges into. If you like classic games and sharing experiences with them, def give it a listen!

Lewdog80My favorite retro gaming PodcastI have been listening for about a year and really enjoy this podcast. When it releases the next episode I will stop listening to anything else until I finish it. Robert and Jay are funny and have some interesting insights on games. I enjoy hearing the retro games they are playing each podcast. The email may very well be the best section.

jeffrey.wachterFunny, witty, and interesting classic games podI have tried many video gaming podcasts, this is by far one of the best. It features 3 very funny hosts and an excellent format. Each episode starts with a little bit of current gaming news. Then for the bulk of the episode each host features one classic game (at least 10 years old) that they talk about in depth. It is great because they cover a variety of games including platformers, RPGs, flight simulators, rogue-like, point and click adventure games, and more. To conclude they have a themed top 3 list (eg top 3 Sega Genesis games). All of the hosts have an extensive history playing classic games and a bredth of knowledge so that all 3 can usually contribute on any game mentioned. What truly makes this podcast great is the interaction of Robert, Blake, and Jay. They are constantly making fun of each other and cracking jokes. I laugh harder during this podcast then during most of the comedy podcasts I listen to. I could not recommend this podcast any higher, especially to anyone with a nostalgia for the games of the early console generations.

ZaqthornJust what I was looking for!I was looking for a podcast on this subject and now I've found it. If you like classic games you'll like this podcast.
-
Tking84A regular dose of nostalgiaI started listening to this podcast a little less than a year ago. As a 30 year old I grew up playing the games this podcast talks about so each episode serves up memories. Occasionally the hosts will bring up some game I've never played and that leads to fun as well. The first few episodes are sort of slow but it got much better once they found their stride.
