    Keep it up!
Really enjoying this pod more than RTRS lately. Great post game content. Devon, you the man and the glue guy of this team.

    Generally Enjoy the Pod But
Please stop bringing episodes to a screeching halt to read superchats that just bring up the same topics/points that were already discussed

    Arena location
Hi guys, great show. I know I am late but has there ever been a discussion with ownership to seek out a west Philly location for the arena? Saint Joe’s now owns the USciences campus but has been looking to sell since they bought it. There is plenty of room Over there by Clark park and there is public transit. It seems like a much better location. I don’t think usciences is ever coming back. It’s a great location and I’m just wondering why it is never brought up? Thanks, Chris H

    Lost all respect
These 3 are a bunch of sellouts acting like the center city stadium is a good thing. So weak. You’re all sellouts

    Boring
Kyle Neubeck is the slowest talker ever.

By far the best Sixers podcast
In-dept discussion of the team and it's hapless front office without the self-reverence and snark. Well, a little snark but it's not their brand like others. These guys know what they are talking about. The shout out at the ends are a bit much but understand why and it’s easy to skip past. The super chats are an interesting aspect though please stop calling them “donations.” I work for a nonprofit, those are not donations.

    stop doing daily podcasts
the content creation empire has ruined some of my favorite sixers writers. there is nothing worth listening to when you’re farming daily content. every episode is a milquetoast repeat of any other of the last 10 episodes, to the point of hour long episodes about whether a top 5 player should get an extension and endless repeated takes about the same c level possible free agency signings. it’s a shame, if this show moved to a weekly schedule or news based schedule maybe there would be something worth listening to

Bad. Got better. Got good. Is now unlistenable
It started off bad. Got better. Got really good. It is now unlistenable. They bring in more fan takes and it made it worse. Not 1 star even though it is now unlistenable due to information.

    Dream Team of Sixers Beat
These guys are always on point. Simple as that.

Check out The Rights to Ricky Sanchez
If you want an easier listen, check out the rights to Ricky Sanchez podcast, they click a lot better than these guys and are actually funny! #kylewhobeck also can Devon go one episode without bringing up his cousin? Dude brings up his cousin 5x an episode it’s kind of embarrassing we get it dude

    Go-to podcast for post-game coverage
Reliable post-game coverage and expert analysis. It’s become my go-to pod after each Sixers game. The show’s production and their conversational flow have gotten smoother over time. I like each guy and think they work well together, and Devon keeps it on track. Each pod could be 45 minutes instead of an hour and that would feel more efficient and less repetitive. I don't mind that they interact with the YouTube viewers live on air, though the fans themselves can be annoying 😅

    Not great
Used to really enjoy Bodners “Sixers Beat” podcast, but this just ain’t it. Guys have no chemistry and spend had the pod reading super chats. They do provide consistent content and could be better if they found better host to pair with Bodner. Has potential but needs a lot of work to be good/great.

    The only Real Sixers Podcast
A podcast about the Sixers, players, coaching, and opponents. Not about the hosts and thier personal lives. Want to hear thoughtful commentary about the team? This is the podcast you want.
  • Sixerfan16
    Great Sixers content
The only Sixers podcast that actually discusses only the Sixers. Love it.

    Okay
Kyle is very good. Derek is struggling and will hopefully get better with time.

    Sixers Dream Team
Great first show with PHLY. Can’t wait for Devon to join. Great concept and the best reporters on the Philly beat all in one place. Must listen for diehards.

    Curb the cursing, please
It’s rated ‘clean’ - every episode has some cursing and last one dropped at least 1 F and 1 MF - and maybe more but I stopped listening. I prefer not to listen to that and you guys are way to need that language to make your points. Otherwise mostly a good show with very good analysis.

    Can’t go wrong here
Less of the Schtick of the Ricky and more of the hardcore analysis from two strong and sharp 76ers journalists. This is a regular in my rotation and at certain time periods like after trades, fires/hires, and during the playoffs, one of my top listens. Long time reader too and they are both top notch writers. Well done to both of you!

    Great Perspective
These guys know their hoops and they know the Sixers. I never miss an episode!

Still Viewing Sixers through Process-tinted lenses
Few people know the Sixers better than Rich and Derek, but their continued allegiance to everything process and resulting brings down the Pod. I listened to them defend Brett Brown over and over after playoff failures that he seriously contributed to (remember when the team couldn’t execute a play down the stretch, or even call a decent play, or even get a shot off) and after 1 year of failure by Doc with perhaps the most confounding performance in NBA history by Ben Simmons they didn’t hesitate to blame Doc, a post process coach. Their continued bias is laughable. They have finally realized Ben is an anchor to a contending team, which anyone who watches basketball could have seen the last 3 years, but Bodner still thinks he’s “top 30” and they act like this year was surprising. Take off your process-tinted lenses and it’s been obvious for years. Hope they can evolve or pretty soon it’s time to find another Sixers Pod.

    Must listen...
Great podcast - must listen for any Sixers fan. And I love Rich’s “I’m, ah, doing ok, man” at the beginning of the show and his, “see ya man” sign off. Keep it up!

    Great Sixers Pod
But c’mon fellas, of course Joel plays G1 against Bucks regardless of whether he played the night b4. Saturday means nothing w/o a win on Thursday. Resting him today was a no brainer. These games really mean nothing, so all credit to you two for making me curious enough to listen tonight, but we gotta prioritize getting to the playoffs healthy
  • JeffW23
    The best
This is the best podcast for nerdy sixers fans like myself.
  • Mattxyzed
    But the cat...
The hosts seem to be constantly in pain over having to cover what for most people is an enjoyable pastime involving cool passes and dunks. Also, they are often distracted by a cat which is inexplicable not put away during their recording session. On the other hand, they actually seem to spend more time watching the games than inventing strange hypothetical dilemmas, which makes the a nice change of pace from the Ricky.

    A Must for Sixer Fans

    Sixers Haters
If you look up “Nega-delphia” in the dictionary, you would see this podcast. For being a Sixers podcast, they are the most negative duo in the city. They just beat Utah, and they found a way to make it a “loss.” They are first in the East, but, you would think they were last. The NBC Philly pod has much more balanced coverage.
  • JmacJizzle
    Double Intro
Love the pod and all the content on the Athletic. It seems that lately, Derek has been giving an overview of the episode (pre-recorded?) before the intro song. Then, after the intro song, Derek does another overview of the episode before introducing Rich. A bit of redundancy to open the pod. Food for thought... Keep up the great work!
  • KnipexPliers
Kind of obnoxious stats hipster podcast
Really hung up on stats & analytics, not so much about the flow of the game & team & player dynamics. Nothing about the human element, no “feel.” Do you like love the beauty of the game? That’s quaint. Not exactly like having a conversation w/ your friends about the team. Unless your friends are know-it-all number crunchers I thinks it’s aimed at armchair GM’s, fantasy league owners & gamblers. But if you like the Sixers, it’ll pass the time. Unless you just get annoyed & skip the episode. FWIW, they’re much better writers than podcast hosts.

    Essential Sixers Pod
The February 3, 2021 episode with the pick up game versus Spike and Mike Trash Talk is some of the best non-Sixers related content this pod has ever produced. I love you guys and I would listen to every episode that you put out until the end of time.
  • Jwelsh11
A must for any diehard sixers fan
been listening since 2017, huge fan of the show. derek and rich are two of the best and funniest sixers beat writers out there and provide genuine insight into the game, unlike some other podcasts.
  • PhillyFreezer_
    Best sixers content
Best 76ers content out there, Two of our best beat writers who know what the teams needs are and can dissect anything from a sixers perspective
  • albhoopref
    The best Sixers pod
Sixers fans are blessed to have some unbelievable writers covering the team. For me, Sixers Beat is the best pod. Derek and Rich are great. Excellent discussion and analysis.

    Discussion>debate
If you’re looking for hot takes, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for thoughtful Sixers analysis, welcome home.
  • R2RS88
    Horrible political hot takes
Don’t waste your time. Agenda driven woke nonsense. A place you can find uneducated political hot takes. If you don’t agree your the devil. Wait is this a sports podcast?
  • phlsin
    The gold standard
Derek and Rich have been the gold standard of sixers coverage since their liberty ballers days. They’re talented and hard-working journalists who love the team and know their stuff. I’ve haven’t missed an episode for years. Five stars++.
  • AD8868
    Must listen
Great pod. Derek and Rich are insightful, interesting, and are a must listen to understand the Sixers! Keep it up fellas!

    Great pod
A great pod to see the Ins and outs of a garbage organization. I’m a sixers fan and I regret it every day but Rich and Derek break down the team with incredible detail and professionalism. Listenable for super fans and casual fans alike.

    Best Sixers Coverage
Hands down best coverage and discussions about the sixers anywhere

    Let’s be honest
There are others but this is the only “professional” Sixers podcast. You listen, you get informed and then move on with your day.

    I’m a Celtics fan
I am a Celtics fan and I am always looking for new podcasts to listen to. Let me tell you that this is the only basketball podcast I listen to. I don’t even listen to Celtics podcasts, mostly because none of them are any good. These guys give their thoughts on the entire league with I enjoy.
  • Bornst
    How about knowing your audience??
What makes you think that anyone listening for Sixers information wants 40 minutes of hearing people who cover their playoff opponent make fun of the Sixers? Even if it’s warranted it isn’t what will make me want to return to your pod.
  • KFricko
    This is the best
    76ers podcast ever

    5 Pity Stars
I feel back for these guys. The only NBA players they can get as guests; are the ones that can’t even dunk. 5 Stars, but they’re all out of pity.

    Most depressing podcast.

Finally an analytical and objective sixers podcast
I’ve been converted front the other one. So thankful to find some sensible, critical, informed sixers talk.
  • Sackoballs
    Bodner's analysis is excellent
Best 76ers pod... RTRS is funny but this pod has far better basketball analysis
  • JadaMo42
    Informative and accurate takes
