I can’t get enough of this show. Every episode I learn about new films and new composers that I otherwise would never find. It helps me to build my Spotify inspo playlists and add great movies into my watch queue. Edith is fantastic at interviewing and I love how an excerpt of every piece they talk about plays during the conversation

I’ve been listening to the show for a few years and I just love the mix of different guest on the show from directors to actors and of course composers. Most episodes always reveal what the guest grew up on or what score they fell in love with.

Brilliant podcast, fun and informative. Edith has a lovely way of engaging without being intimidated by the musicians. I would love to hear Max Richter on the music for the HBO series “My Brilliant Friend”.

This show is such a lovely behind-the-scenes look at film scores via a very relaxed and natural chat with the composers themselves. Thoroughly enjoyed. The Isobel Waller-Bridge episode was an absolute tonic. 👌🏼

I’ve been listening to podcasts for well over a decade and I finally sought out a film music podcast and lo and behold, Soundtracking! Edith’s fabulous gets for guests and her true love for scores fits this show to be one of my favorites of all time. Music is critical to storytelling and whether we know it or not, we’re always communicating with vibrations, and Edith and her producers highlight the language and meaning filmmakers and composers instill to us the audience. Bravo!

Each week I look forward to a walk through movies via their soundtracks. I get unique perspectives on the creative process with directors, actors, composers and musicians. It is amazing that in our fast-paced world that we can set aside time for theatre of our ears, minds, and hearts. The host is both host and fan-girl. Bravo!

While centered on the music with movies, you get an exploration of how movies are made, the musical background and inspirations of directors, and opinions on the divisive issue of temp scores or not. I found this podcast at episode six and have discovered so much music beyond the scores, Sigur Ros is just one. This podcast is a treasure.

I'm so happy I found this podcast because it is fantastic. Edith Bowman (the host) is radiant, optimistic, and brings so much joy and excitment to each episode. Her enthusiasm is contagious and makes the show a lot of fun to listen to. Great interviews in this podcast that are very insightful and entertaining.

Score for a movie is so important! It's so interesting listening to people talk about the decisions or feelings that made them love or hate a movie based on music. Definitely a different movie podcast than most! Do yourself a favor and subscribe! A++ podcast!!
